These 4 schools would add a lot to the ACC network and make the ACC a solid third regardless of FSU leaving or not.

Yeah but they're in a conference that pays them a full share that has a GoR itself.

I believe, I saw JRSEC say that the new B12 GoR doesn't take effect until 2025. So those schools can get out before it takes effect.

But I doubt we could negotiate full shares for the 4 of them having just raked Stanford, Cal and SMU over the coals for every dollar we could pry out of them.

The ACC is already a solid third with or without FSU.

I think the ACC will add more schools from the West, they can use FSU buyout money to go fishing.

Third, yes. Solid? I wouldn't use that word.

It may take years to settle FSU. those schools choose Big12, not sure they would want to leave the Big12.

I would. Easily. As long as there aren't a bunch of other defections and particularly if tobacco road sticks together. Outside of flash in the pan Deion, there are no significant media brands there.

The ACC can't, and doesn't need to, add anyone else at the moment. It needs to solidify what it has and work on being the best version of itself.

Mark,

If you compare the fb brands and the bb brands between the 2 leagues, it seems to me that the ACC has better brands in better markets in spades over the B12 even if FSU is gone.

I would take any and all of the following six B12 schools:

ASU
AZ
Utah
Colorado
Kansas
TCU

I was not bullish about KU before but they steadily improved their football profile. The first five schools are AAU. TCU is to double down in Texas and cripple the B12.

I'm not excited about U of Arizona, but the others have value.

The B12 lost their heavyweights but I feel like they have more middleweights than the ACC right now. If the ACC could get everyone up to their potential we could have 3 or 4 heavyweights and more middleweights.
