All I know is that it isn't a good look on television. Those t.v. face forwarding seats need butts in them.

Has to be a graphics error that matched the women's graphic. Because first off the always full student section is now just GA. Second, this would be a bad idea from a revenue standpoint because why pay for upper bowl reserved, if you can be in the lower bowl for $40 less.

Considering our home slate had no P5s or upper echelon state schools, this is a fantastic number. Hope we can continue to build on that.

Mason is such idiots.

They had won a home game last night against #16 Ranked Dayton and the fans stormed the court.

Big home game and they had 5,286 at the game.

I'd guess the average attendance for JMU games at the rent-a-center was over 8,000 over the last 2 or 3 decades we played them there.

One area that could use improvement in attendance and butts actually in the seats is the Duke Club area. It will improve if we can maintain a winning program, but to have so many empty seats and a lot in the club area during a game doesn't look great on TV.

there usually aren't a lot of bodies in the club area during the game

Yeah, we have been over this multiple times. The issue is no-shows and that is prevalent throughout the entire lower bowl (minus student sections).

Fair points. if demand rises then the no-shows can sell their tickets to those who actually want or can make the game.

The often empty visitors section behind the visiting bench doesn't help TV optics. Maybe we could tuck them up in the 201 corner instead of 101.

in addition, the sunbelt is down this year. ODU and Marshall are not good. As a result, these were not "big" games. doesnt feel like the rivalries have developed yet

P5 games would be nice, but impossible to get. get VCU, Mason, Richmond, Davidson, Charleston, Delaware, GW,

get to an avg 6,500 - and sell out the big games

Make those seats in 101 available to JMU STHs, and since 102-104 is for Students and GA, make 102 and 104 reserved which will pull people from the upper deck reserved area. I know when buying season tickets I wouldn't be happy paying more to sit upstairs and watch somebody with the cheapest ticket walk in and sit downstairs close to the action in a seat. Put the opposition fans somewhere up high as we do in football. Students could have 103 all to themselves as well as 110-113.

agree Dukester. just stupid that we dont play each other any more. in the lefty era, we had more fans at Mason than Mason had.

anybody remember the pregame for Mason at the New Orleans bar in that strip center. Packed. good times.

Even before Lefty the attendance was huge when JMU visited GMU.

Playing at GMU was a good home game for our NoVa crowd. We easily had 50%+ of the crowd there some years, likely would have this year too.

I'd like to see another home and away series with them, but it needs to be a straight up deal, not some 2-1 nonsense in their favor.
