Also how great was the coast to coast dunk by X? Hes such an interesting player to me.

X has really taken a leap this year and I really enjoy his game.

Kinda like Strickland in the way with his pestering defense and energy, he’s one of those guys you love play with and hate to play against.

i would have thought Xav would have laid the ball in against odu after missing the dunk against marshall, BUT NO! My boy going to throw down in front friends and family. yah boy...

Looks to me like M. Green has totally lost his confidence and perhaps has a case of the yips. Before taking a free throw last night, he couldn't hit a 5-foot practice shot and then made just one of two at the line. He's still a much better distributor than X Brown offensively. Without him, JMU doesn't beat MI State. Hope he gets his mojo back. We also need Bickerstaff to get his mojo back. Good to see Wooden playing so well, as well as Noah Friedel!
Nice to see Bickerstaff up high setting a pick & roll, but sometimes he seems to be lingering up there way too long and should be working his way to the basket if it isn’t there. Would like to see him get down low and use his size to work from in closer instead of always getting it at the FT area and driving erratically and trying to get an off balance shot.

18-2.

Go Dukes!

You make it sound like a lot of our coaches have had the opportunity to play three games in a season against ODU. Has it ever happened before?

I understand ODU has swept JMU in 3 games played in a single season three times. JMU has never swept ODU in 3 straight played in the same season.

I don’t know how many other seasons ODU/JMU have played 3 times in the same season, but when you count the possibilities of playing twice (home and away in the CAA) and then again in the conference championship, I’m sure it’s not that rare.

We definitely need Green, but he’ll have to earn his minutes from off the bench now. Brown has definitely earned the nod as starting PG.

RE: Round 2 at ODU
-Friedel is relentless on 50-50 balls. Size, hops and ability to body guys are obviously important for rebounding...but he has an elite ability to read a shot in the air and adjust his positioning to put himself in the best spot to secure the board.

-Julien Wooden has a silky shot and is a bucket.

-Randleman's shot is uglier than the 9th guy off the bench on my freshman basketball team....but I still love his game on both ends of the floor.

-TJ needs to continue to flash to the keyhole to kick out to shooters on the wing, or ball fake and take it to the rack off the dribble. He makes great decisions with the ball there and causes defenders to collapse to contain him. Really want to see them run this set against App.

-Can someone clip that transition poster dunk by X? Wow! I jumped off my couch and I wasn't even sitting on it.

Win this game and we still have an OOC punchers chance. Lose Saturday and it's prepare for the SBCT.

Their bigs were long and impressive. Was that around the time Bickerstaff was sick and wasn’t playing like himself? He showed a lot more strength and explosiveness last night.

But I expect this be another dog fight. Hopefully they’re focused.

Wasn't long ago we felt like this.

Optimistic before the game, and devastated during the game.

The use of "in-season series" threw me. I took it to mean everything except the conference tourney. With the new understanding, we could possibly play four games. Should this happen, that would be at the extreme end of unusual.
