Should the ACC invite Gonzaga??
Gonzaga is s major brand, and does have access to an international aurport (Spokane). It would strengthen ACC basketball, IMO. What are 'Cuse and Louisville fans opinions on this??

Wouldn't Villanova be easier for a basketball only?

Just Louisville and 'Cuse fans? If the ACC chooses to take a big basketball brand then just get UConn or Villanova.

No. If the ACC wants a basketball-only, two better ones: UConn and Georgetown.
Both ETZ, both new states

However, 'Nova, UConn, & Gtown are all FOX properties. Gonzaga is an ESPN property. Plus, the ACC already has Cal & Stanford . Why not Gonzaga?? Also, Dayton is an ESPN property that's been looking to move, from what I've heard What about them? Saint Louis is also someone the ACC might want to look at, IMO.

RE: Should the ACC invite Gonzaga??
The ACC is not going to make the mistake of the Old Big East, by having split sports factions that divide the focus of the conference. For those claims that ND has such status already, remember ND still invests in football, and there are provisions to fully join if conditions warrant it. No school is going to be invited if they are not invested in football at a minimum of a fbs level.

Temple is another ESPN brand, and they do have football.

Gonzaga should join the Big East where their basketball can shine.

Why should ESPN let FOX have Gonzaga?? Especially when there's grumbling among the hoops schools.

Why won’t the ACC be able to add FOX property? I think ESPN would want Fox property to the ACC rather than moving its own property to the ACC.

Personally, a hard no to Zaga. Their best bet is the B12.

Two things:

1. What if VTech is moving to the SEC?
2. FOX will fight hard to keep its properties, see USC & UCLA as well as U of O & Washington.

Fox can fight but why should ESPN/ACC care?

The BIG took UMCP. Fox can take ESPN property but ESPN cannot take Fox’s? Just to be clear, I absolutely believe the ACC can raid the Big East if they desire to.

With respect to your first question, if the SEC extends an offer to VT, my guess is by then UNC and NC state (and possibly UVa as well) would have already gotten an invitation from the SEC. VT would accept the offer. That won’t be a bad conference for VT.

We don't get paid for Villanova.

We get paid for George Washington or Navy, or Johns Hopkins, but Villanova as you know is located in Pa.

We can't get paid enough for Gonzaga.

I would rather get Memphis as They are ESPN and pretty decent in Both Basketball and Football and Tennessee is a new area that is continuous with ACC states. Plus They have some history with ACC members
