I have this feeling that we're going to smoke 'em. They caught us in a bad stretch last time and an easy win over ODU without superstar Terrence "the Norfolk Mauler" Edwards for most of the game is going to set us up nicely to make a run at another big winning streak happen.

App State took care of Ga Southern tonight and Saturday’s game will be for a piece of first place. Should be a great end to the first half of conference play.
Possibly the biggest game App State has ever had and the Dukes will have revenge on their mind after the low-scoring highly contested game 2 weeks ago.

We got out smarted at home in the first one.

That doesn't happen again, our top five is better, JMU by 12

I like our chances on Saturday. The odds of Bickerstaff, Wooden and Friedel all being non factors again are slim. App had a good plan for that game. We'll be better prepared this time around.

Does anyone know if Spyder Kelly's or another Northern VA/DC bar regularly has JMU basketball games? This one will be on regulat tv, anyway, but I would love to swing by a place that will have a JMU crowd built in.

If our Bigs can at least stay with their Bigs, we have a chance to come away with a W.
We need to head fake them down low and go up strong. They not only blocked lots of our shots
but got in our heads and made us alter shots down low.

It will help if we have a good shooting game from outside.

I think App has several advantages and should be favored.

It will take one of our best efforts of the year to "upset" them. And, IMHO, it would be an upset.

Agree. They are 9-0 at home and have two great wins over Auburn and the Dukes in the Burg. They crushed UNCW as well who is pretty good.

I agree with all that you said, especially the bolded. Sometimes, it's just a matter of the shots going down. I believe we are a better team, but if most of our jumpers are clanking off the the rim, we are going to lose again.

If our shooters, Freidel and Edwards in particular, hit a solid percentage of their jumpers, we win by ten. Much impressed by Wooden lately, especially from the arc.

We need to play our game and push the pace as they have advantages in the half court. I would at least use some type of trapping defense to try and speed them up.

I believe if the game is played at our pace we win. If we play at their pace we lose. It is simple as that.
