Huge win for our at large chances.

And still plenty of opportunity with away trips to NoDak and St Cloud

Fantastic win tonight. It is nice to be reminded that they're actually a legit team.

I think if we sweep Miami and get splits vs Omaha, Nodak, & St. Cloud, we should be around 10 or 11.

I do want to pay back St. Cloud with a sweep after they swept us at Lawson.

Wendt now tied for first in the nation with 21 goals.

Frank, Polin, Wendt?

Crazy that we’ve had that possibly 3 years in a row and none of these guys were top 10 nhl draft picks, just blue collar type players.

DU announcers were really speaking highly of Fersch and his development of players last night and even showed the clip of Polin scoring his first nhl goal. I know he plays for the Avs and it’s in Denver, but still pretty cool.

Our present coach is way more offence friendly than Murray was and by a mile .
Which is what I prefer .COGS

I knew our offense would have a breakout game and did it in style. Total domination of a top ranked team in their building! We’ve scored 21 goals vs Denver this year……amazing!

Since the NCHC started, this is the first time I’ve ever felt that CC is a better team than Denver. Way better goaltending and a better defense.

One concern I have is our power play. Where did it go? In 2024 we are 4/30…………and 2/25 in our last 7 games. We do well keeping it set up in the zone but rarely seem to get it inside. Anyone have any insights here?

Because Fersch is keen on setting up Galambos on a one timer from the corner.....like wtf??? How about take shots from outside and get a tip / screen in front.

If you look at a team like North Dakota, most of their PP goals come from the outside with screens in front. I'll say it once and Ill say it again, park Joe Cassetti out front of the goalie on PP's and it will completely take his eyes away. Then let Colangelo or Grainger rip one from the point or top of the circles. I also dont understand the bumper play when they try and pass to bump on the side of the net. Some of this stuff may work and did work on the lesser skilled teams, but its not gonna work most of the time in the NCHC and its showing.

Exactly. The bumper play is old news and every team in the NCHC is looking for it. Set something up to create a back door opportunity.

Too often our offense looks better 5 on 5 rather than 5 on 4….too deliberate.
