There is however, one slot on the schedule that still hasn't been filled as of this morning. It turns out that while it hasn't been filled yet, that doesn't mean there aren't talks in the works. In fact, it feels like Marcus Freeman and company are very, very close to knowing who will be the 12th game on the schedule.


According to college football analyst Matt Fortuna, the Notre Dame football team are set to square off against the Army Black Knights on November 23. Fortuna added the game was basically a done deal, even if both sides are still ironing out some final details."

I had it in my head that Army had a full schedule, but I see now that they only have 11 games themselves, so, yeah, this makes total sense.

Cuse was in talks too but added a trip to Vegas.

If you play at Hawaii you obviously could schedule a 13th game.

The 12th game has been finalized.
"SMU Football has its final game of the 2024 season scheduled as the Mustangs will head to Nevada for a Week Zero matchup, the schools announced. The matchup replaces Vanderbilt, which skirted away from a series with the Mustangs.
Nevada finished the 2023 campaign 2-10 overall and 2-6 in Mountain West play. Nevada will come to the Hilltop in 2028."

Week Zero is becoming ACC Week this year.
