Next FSU basketball coach
Not pushing Ham out the door, I think he has 1 more year on his contract and the team should be pretty good.

1 Dusty May - He is the FAU coach that led them to the F4 last season. Before FAU, he was an assistant at UF, so he is pretty familiar with the state. He would also be familiar with ACC recruiting territory as C-USA and AAC territory have a lot of overlap.

2 Dennis Gates - An assistant under Ham from 2011-2018. Took the HC job at Cleveland State and resurrected that program before taking the Missouri job.

3 Andy Enfield - Enfield was credited for turning FSU into a good free throw shooting team before he left to be the head coach at FGCU for 2 seasons. He has since been the HC at USC for the last 11 seasons with 5 NCAAT appearances. He is also a bit older than the other candidates.

RE: Next FSU basketball coach
Dusty May has popped up in discussions amongst U of L fans for our soon to be vacant job ...

May was a student manager at Indiana for Bob Knight. Which obviously make IU his alma mater.

The feeling here is that he would jump to the Indiana gig if given the chance. And the Hoosier fans are restless with their hire (a guy who played for Bobby Knight - Mike Woodson) with an eye to Dusty as being their long term savior.

BUT ... all that could be "fan talk" and nothing more.

Dude can coach though.

So if FSU wants him, it's not a bad move at all.

I would be fine with either. Gates would have been my top pick before this season, Missouri has slipped a bit and so has USC, but it's only Gates's second season so he is still in the process of putting his stamp on the program.

Ask some other group. It won’t matter to the ACC.

Didn't Hamilton just sign a 6-year extension the year before last?

So he should have a solid 4 years left on his current contract. Not 1.

Edit: I was wrong. It was 5 years through 2024-2025.

So indeed, I more year.
