Seriously, I'm not sure what there is for him to consider. To any person with a functioning mind it should be a slam dunk.

I was told in another thread that this test is very easy so it's telling that they won't let Joe take it.

Yeppers, I had mine on the 13th. The guy asked me what day it was and honestly I couldn't remember, (which retired guy does?) but then I remembered that the next day would be Valentines Day and then I subtracted one day and voila it was the 13th. This after working on a hard crossword puzzle and they still asked me dumb little questions. I've always have had trouble remembering numbers, especially my lock on my high school locker...that doesn't make me senile. At least I know who the president of Mexico is and I don't have a Red Button either.

Its not. Drawing a specific time on a traditional clock (with hands) is a common question. Subjects will be required to correctly identify a common image---say a picture of a giraffe. The subject will probably be given a short list of 4 or 5 items and be asked to recall the items. They might be asked to spell a short 5 letter word forward, and then asked to spell the same word backwards. Its that kind of stuff. Its not very complex. Its not like an IQ test. A person is in pretty bad shape if they fail the thing.

Today's kids, can they read a dial clock with hands much less draw one. It's all digitial.

My kids did have to learn it (16, 14, and 12 year olds). Not sure how much longer that will be in the curriculum though.
