I remember the days when our point guard (Trey, Darius, Drew) would come up the court, raise their hand, and call a play. A freaking set play. I gather this dumb a$$ coaching staff doesn’t even think about doing this. They are absolutely clueless. There has to be ONE play they can run to get a basket in the last 5 minutes! Nope, I guess not! Just more 1 guy dribbling the ball too much, then shooting. No passing, no movement, just standing around and watching one guy shoot the ball. This cluster**** has to end. Please.

You're right. They don't have to call the play though, because they already know what it is and so does the other team. Most every play is the same and you described it above. ODU plays very little team ball this season.
They called a time out with 14 (or so) seconds left. To not call a play that involves a screen to get someone an open shot or a drive to the basket, verges on criminal.

They actually called a play. If you watch, they had screens on opposite ends but for some reason Chaunce just rushed a shot. He had a lightly challenged shot but it was a difficult step back 3.

One could argue it all goes back to coaching so there is that. My larger issue was the play with 4 seconds left. Yes, it was a bad pass and probably would have been converted with a good pass, but I just think it was too risky for the moment. You have plenty of time to get a shot off with 4 seconds.

Yeah, Wade deserves the largest ovation we have seen in years. I will always appreciate him coaching my son in the summer.

I had no problem with the baseline play. If the pass was on target it was an open shot and the best look we were going to get in 4 seconds.
