Gooden’s lack of speed and lateral quickness is getting exposed by UAB’s offense. She is a defensive liability.

One of the worse defensive performances of the season so far. Combination of missed assignments and getting beat individually. 31-27 UAB.

On the flip side, love the offensive execution so far. Very crisp.

The easy baskets are the difference right now. Rice is making shots, but way too many breakdowns on defense giving UAB easy buckets. Down 6 end of 3Q.

You know it's poor defense when a women's team shoots just shy of 52% from the field.

I am confused as to why Gooden is still in the starting lineup. She played 8 minutes today. Three games prior to today - played 13, 14, and 20 minutes respectively. If someone is good enough to start, then they should be playing more than half of a 40 min game. She has become a defensive liability. Offensively, she isn’t contributing- averaging 3 pts/game off 28% shooting.

Based off play lately, makes more sense to start Jazzy.
