Peyton hits a couple of FT's to make it 71-62 with 7 seconds to go. Eagles have missed a bunch of FT's, 59% and that is what probably cost them the game. Dukes hit 88% from the FT line

GaSouthern lets us run the clock down without fouling, now wants to call TO with .7 seconds left and down 6.

Dukes struggled from the floor several times during the game going 2 to 5 minute stretches without ant FG's, FT shooting and offensive rebounding won this game for the Dukes

A good win - men and women's teams both close out the year on the road.

Tough schedule, but might make them battle tested for the conference tourney.

Well it wasn't pretty but a win is a win. So glad they brought their free throw shooting tonight - that is what saved them.

Well done Ladies. Especially being shorthanded and on the road. Sure hope we get at least 2 of the players back for the SBC Tourney.

It was a team effort. Maybe not so pretty but who cares, it was a W. Some good things: we made most of our FTs for a change, and our passing is a lot better. Annalicia is maturing. She's not and never will be the same kind of player as Ksyusha so don't expect it---she's more of a finesse player, but get her shots under the basket and she will make at least 8 of 10. We managed to outflank that humongous lumbering center they have so their coach didn't play her too awfully much. Probably just as well that they were also a bit short-handed! I wish we could have shot better though.
To answer your question, Brian, I suspect Ksyusha may have had some kind of foot surgery, which puts paid to her season. A friend had that and was on the same kind of scooter. Ksyusha sure doesn't look happy about her situation. I wonder if Hevynne will be ready for the tournament?

Looked like Sousha was off the scooter today on the bench. Saw her standing on both feet a couple of times so maybe she is healing. Hope Hevynne and Amira can be back on the court soon.

Ugly win tonight but at the end of the day only 2 things matter 1) The number under JMU is bigger than the number under GaSo (or whoever!!) and 2) nobody got hurt. Solid 88% FT shooting won the game for the Dukes tonight. Probably good that GaSo was as shorthanded tonight as the Dukes were.

On to ApSt on Saturday. About a minute to go an ODU is beating ApSr by 20. 2-10 in Conference Coastal Carolina also beat GaSt. Weird
