No chance NU plays a game in DeKalb.

Quote:Where will Northwestern football play home games?

That location is still to be determined, and Braun is eagerly awaiting that resolution, too.

Northwestern is currently looking for a venue, or venues, to play home games. Conflicts make Wrigley Field, Guaranteed Rate Field, SeatGeek Stadium, Soldier Field and others difficult to schedule.

One report suggested Northwestern is looking into building a temporary playing field on its campus. Braun was all about that idea, as it fits his three necessary check boxes: It involves students, involves longtime season ticket holders and creates momentum towards the new Ryan Field.

STF better charge his golf cart batteries and drive his ass to Evanston to work on a deal with them on some dates.

Take all the Saturdays. We don't play on those days anyway.

Incorrect, we play Akron at home on Wednesday, Nov 13.

But yes, five Saturday home games is the most we have had in quite some time.

Hopefully the conference can make it zero weeknight home games soon.

I know. Offer them Fridays, night games if we play early or vice versa. I feel like it is an opportunity to generate $$ for a stadium that is only used a handful of times a year. The money is needed or even a return game to draw more fans. Get creative as it sounds like northwestern is running out of options.

Ah, yes. Another failure by STF lurks on the horizon.

Not that NW would even want to play in DeKalb. Demand it....and demand returns!!! 01-lauramac2

I am guessing they are awating the NFL schedule release. They will likely get a game or 2 at SF.

I could also see them pulling a date switch from a Saturday to Friday at some point if push came to shove.

Nothing better than to make a visiting fan change their plans.

Lol. It's a complete pipe dream to think Northwestern would stoop to our level and play in Huskie Stadium.

Can't have a college game played less than 5 days from a bears game and Soldier field (CPD) only allows for one major college football game a year and must be scheduled a year prior per the contract.

Sounds like they won't be playing there much unless the contract has been changed from the date in the link. I've read that before in years past as well. the bears don't want a **** grass field before they play.

Options are limited and Seat Geek would be really the only place with more availability and they have already told them no for certain dates.

1 game a year.. That’s interesting. The 5 days too. I knew could not be the same weekend. Used to not be. I know they played a prep bowl once on a Friday that messed up the field.

Look at the bright side. We will no longer have the lowest attendance in the country. No way Martin Field sits more than what we will average.

STF for the win.

Martin Stadium is right on the lake. Soccer/Lacrosse has permanent seating of 2,000. They will be adding seats. So, assuming it’s full with the additional seats, they should eclipse our normal anemic attendance.

Swing and a miss by STF. Is that strike 6 or 7? I lost count.

I’m sure Huskie Stadium would not work for Northwestern. Aside from the distance to DeKalb, there would probably be quite a few conflicts with the schedules. Plus, we know that people just don’t like to come to DeKalb. Or, maybe it’s just that our urinal troughs are beneath the dignity and prestige of Northwestern fans.

Huskie Stadium urinal troughs are beneath the dignity of ANY fans. I heard a rumor that one of the Huskie mascot dogs refused to take a p in there. IDK. Maybe they all have, one time or another. STF does NOT spend money on fans or fan facilities, unless they have a ton of $, which erases most of us.
