Miami won’t be no gimmie. Took North Dakota to OT and Denver to a shootout in Denver.

I have a feeling we will split next weekend.

GLI years also require some different scheduling. If your gunna play Tech those years, do you even want to schedule a Ferris and Bowling Green? I would say the same if your going to play Michigan State, whether or not you should schedule the Irish or Michigan.

I like to see Michigan on our schedule as often as we can, as we want to have the in-state bragging rights as to who is the best Michigan hockey team, but they still owe us one, so they need to play a series in Kalamazoo before we consider scheduling a home and home. In the mean time, keep telling MI recruits how the Broncos is the top program in Michigan and how they ducked us.

I also question scheduling St Lawrence in a year when you schedule Ferris, BG & Lindwood.

Bottom line, too many softies...

Completely agree on Ferris and BG. Having both in our schedule this year has really hurt us.

Miami is 1-19-2 in NCHC play. The 1 is a win vs Western.

I'd be shocked if they get a 2nd win vs Western @ Lawson with the stakes we have riding on it.

Disappointing weekend. No way around it. We outplayed them on Friday & took an L.

CHN Probability Matrix says we have a 57% chance of making the Tourney. All is not lost. Hopefully, Phillips, Bauer, & Schingoethe are back next weekend.

Sweep Miami.

Get #4 seed, win series vs #5 CC @ CC.

Then get to St. Paul & anything can happen.

7 points behind CC with one series (6 points) left. Can't get 4th.

57% not bad considering how bad we've been. Better % then what I'd give!

Three wins minimum is the reality folks. A possibility of needing 4 in a bad case scenario.

RE: #12 Western Michigan @ #3 North Dakota
As long as we sweep Miami and Omaha splits or gets swept with Nodak, we can jump to that 5 spot.

It seems likely we will go to either SCSU or CC.

Obviously Nodak is off the table with them winning the penrose and miami locked into 8th.

Could be some interesting shake ups after this weekend because everyone is playing their "rivalry games".

I still feel our best chance at getting to St. Paul would be playing at CC, for whatever reason we seem to play well in that arena (Undefeated so far) and ever since that Nodak sweep at home, CC hasnt been the same and depending on what happens with Denver, we may catch them at a good time as well.

Its hard to say I feel confident with this team anymore, its just been a let down season with too many ups and downs.

Ultimately we just need to avoid Denver, clobbering SCSU two nights in a row on the road is an eye opener, sounds like they may have finally found their game.

Go Broncos

#46-Miami, #51 St Lawrence, #56 Bowling Green, #62 Lindenwood, #63 Ferris (out of a possible 64 teams).

That being said, we took care of all our non-conference games with wins, so they didn't hurt us, but also didn't help us. It's the Miami loss that really hurts, as we would be sitting @ #10 right now if it had been a win.

Yup, absolutely gut wrenching that one loss has cost us feeling good after this next weekend.

Yeah, I transposed those numbers. Get #5 seed, win series vs #4 CC @ CC.

A win and a tie / shootout win leaves us at #15 PWR, we MUST win both games this weekend, no questions.

It looks like a sweep puts us back around 11/12

This weekend is a must sweep unless we want to have to win the frozen faceoff.

I doubt we get to 11 or 12 with a sweep of Miami. Are you factoring in all the other games where the teams around us have much better opportunities for good PairWise wins?

No, just factored in our wins.

I played around with some others as well, the biggest things that would help us obviously are losses for Omaha and CC.

I don't think a sweep of Miami @ Lawson will move us up that far. We will be lucky to move up 1-2 spots. A loss or a tie @ home, will drop us more than a couple spots.

Either way, I'm pretty sure we will need to win the series @ CC just to get into the top 12. We still would be on the bubble going into the NCHC semi's and a loss here could also drop us out.
