Yeah, for a variety of reasons (including naivete), athletic administrators don't have a very good record when it comes to realignment prognostications

Sigh...even if you think she just got lucky, that's still better than that byword of a former commish from the PAC, whose poor leadership took a storied conference from Power status to life support. This took place the same time that "bottom of the barrel" CUSA went from being declared dead on the table to near stability with a good media package.
Whether just lucky or absolutely brilliant (though very likely just somewhere in the middle), Ms. Judy MacLeod did what Kliawhocares couldn't, & it's no longer her conference that we're playing taps for on this board.
And to the poster who said that the moves made were obvious, that's pretty easy to say with hindsight. Until it all happened, the obvious move in nearly everyone's eyes at the time was to let the conference die as MTSU & WKU moved to the stable MAC conference & let the others fend for themselves. Let's not rewrite history here.
