Charlie Williams has entered also. Heard that both were upset with the medical staff! That may not be the only reason though!!

For years it has been my biased, uniformed opinion that our medical support is substandard. In both football and basketball we have lost time to injuries that seems excessive.

Jack and Chuck were not the only ones with problems, Noah and Jake also had problems with the staff !! Lord knows how many more !!!

I think Jack was a given, regardless of coach. Maybe Charlie too?

It might not be bad to get some new players in here.

In today’s climate player turnover is inevitable with a coaching change. I just hope we get a few players to stick around. It’s not a requirement, but would rather not have a complete and total rebuild.

Well then let's get a new medical staff. I know it's easy to just say it but if many players have complaints that's something we should be taking very seriously.

Everything hinges on making the right hire. The right coach will bring them back if he wants them. The right coach will know how to navigate the portal and add the right guys for the system they run.
I like most of the guys on this team, but big picture wise, if every guy transfered out but we feel like we made the right hire it ultimately won't matter. Hire a good coach and I think most will want to stick around.

Agreed, honestly I wish Jack and Charlie, and all of our inevitable entries over the next month, all the best but this is so different from '19. '19 was brutal watching Pierce, Audige, Owens, and Milon enter the portal knowing they had so much potential. Hard to even know what any of our guys are capable of except for Gabe. And even if we don't get Gabe back it's still nowhere as essential as having Knight return in '19 was. The era of the instant rebuild is upon us.

How many years? I know Huge sent several long time staffers packing, but not sure if any were training/medical personnel…makes me wonder if she honked that up for us, too.

Training staff was basically cleaned out. Majority left by 2018.

To me, this is another measure of the College's commitments to athletics (much less commitment to the health of its student-athletes).

Are we trying once again "to do more with less" or are we going to adequately compensate our medical support staff?

Jack, Charlie and any other Tribe players who enter the portal in the coming months are taking a big risk. I don't see what any of them have demonstrated at W&M to entice another D1 program to give them a scholarship.
