RE: Bergeron out at Miami
This is an important moment for Miami. If they get the right guy they could be right back in the mix with their history.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone does a deep dive into what's wrong at Miami (CHN maybe?). They had an elite coach in Blasi who had tons of success before things started to slip, Bergeron had great success as Blasi's assistant and as head coach at BUGS, they have an amazing arena, and terrific academics. They seem to have all the pieces in place for success, but it's been a downward slide for a decade now.

Feels a lot like Michigan St. Kinda unexplainable why they’ve been bad for so long. Sparty found the right coach. Maybe, that’s all Miami needs.
It would make our life harder if Miami got good again. As the designated rival, we always get 4 games against them.

Great points. I wonder the same things. I think it really helps to have an administration that really cares about hockey success. Miami used to, it apparently doesn't anymore. Is Miami still crowing about joining the CCHA?
Never a good sign when your athletic director wants to leave the league Miami basically founded for a lower budget and less competitive league. Usually comes down to money.
There's no reason Miami should be as awful as it is. But then again, Mark Hollis cared so little about hockey success at MSU he literally hired Tom Anastos off the street from Suburban Hockey and let him run the program into the ground for 10 years.

If Miami hires a new staff on the cheap, then i'd guess they are looking to get out of the NCHC. If they invest to our levels they should be able to not be the speed bump they've been for the last 5-6? years.
