anyone heard of any watch parties happening for March Madness? I have yet to hear a peep from JMU or anyone else. I would really like to watch the game with other alumni, even if it means driving to JMU to watch it on the video board in the AUBC.

There was a San Diego one shared on Twitter, but nothing local promoted by JMU yet.

Pale Fire is staying open in Harrisonburg late Friday night, so I am sure there will be fans there.

Not in Atlanta for this first round. Too late!

I think they've suggested in the past they limit watch parties at JMU venues because the staff who would help run it are gone and you may reduce the number of people willing to travel if there is a big party at AUBC as well.

Because of the time many of the local hburg restaurants will not even be showing it. I checked with O'Neils and since they close at 10 on Saturday they will not have an event. BWW is probably the best bet in Hburg to find others watching.

I gave up pretty early thinking about coordinating a watch party for Harrisonburg simply given the late time.

I posted above that Pale Fire is staying open late, so that is one option. But note there is live music there till 10 pm, so no sound till after that.
