RE: New AD
Looks like someone who has had a great deal of experience at a variety of institutions at all levels. Appears to be a great hire. He certainly has a tough job a head of him in Little Rock, but has the knowledge and contacts to know what he is getting into. I am excited to meet him on Wednesday morning.

RE: New AD
I like that he last worked at UIC. Inner city branch campus just like us. Probably have to fight to get attention, just like us, with University of Illinois and both Depaul and Northwestern right in Chicago. Not sure any school dominates State media like the hogs do here, but he had to deal with being, at best, the 4th team
in the hierarchy in his city. I expect him to do well here.

RE: New AD
While I would never call the LR AD job "easy", coming in after a first place finish in men's basketball should make it a little easier to raise money, sell tickets, and get more corporate involvement. Top 20 finish for wrestling and a possible NCAA bid for baseball could help as well. At this moment, our overall program does appear to be on the upswing, which is a good time for a new guy to step in.

RE: New AD
He was chosen over two athletic directors from successful DII schools. He had experience working for P5 schools (Ohio St., Mizzou, Indiana) and mid major schools (UAB, SEMO, Bowling Green, and UIC) and he was also a student athlete for the University of Florida. So, he has spent the majority of his life in college athletics and I bet that will be useful for us. It's also worth noting that he was on marketing committees for several conference.
I certainly hope he can get the kind of publicity and turnout Conque was able to get for the basketball games. But even more I hope he doesn't take any advice from a Razorback...

Oh, how did I forget. He is also competing for the basketball sports dollar with the Chicago Bulls. May not be as direct a competitor for ticket sales, but certainly the Chicago Blackhawks reel in their share of corporate dollars. If he can do well in that market, he should do fine in Little Rock.
