Talent yes but most don’t know how to play and need to be developed. And I’m not sure if development is Penny’s strong point. Plus I think the local players are grossly overrated coming out. Look at Johnathan Lawson. He’s now flamed out at two schools. I guess maybe he should go after some that are not as highly ranked like Kam Jones? We’ve been burned so much by local players in the last 25 plus years

No. Actually I fully expect that to happen.

And the "superstars" he recruits don't feel like they need to develop any further.

Look I think Penny is a good , not great coach. But he’s got to change his philosophy on a few things. His years at East High have jaded him imo. Maybe he was humbled this year. Let’s hope.
