Exclamation Football Transfer Portal
For those that are close to the program and have been to the practices, are there concerns with the number of defensive linemen and defensive backs that have entered the portal? I think the staff indicated they expected 8 to 10 players to enter and we are at that 10 count based on what I have seen. I am sure some of these will only hurt the depth for sure but a couple like Anderson and Brumfeld got lots of playing time last year.

Anyway, thoughts from those in the know?

As I was told a couple weeks ago, everyone we lose in the portal will be replaced with better talent. The portal is a two way street. We should be much bigger and deeper in the secondary this year and DL should be fine, as well. Remember, new defensive coordinator and system, and not everyone will fit in it.

Thanks Bert.

Was Ducker that low in the rotation or is he leaving because Anderson is likely starter?

Football Transfer Portal
I'm guessing he would be behind Anderson and Smith, plus Thomas getting most of the goal line touches

The new D Line coach from Ohio- is he brining anyone with him? Their best Defensive lineman just hit the transfer portal about a week ago.

I also see that Ohio has a WR from Senatobia MS that has entered the transfer portal. He had limited use last year but had a big year in 2022, so not sure if he was injured last year or what.

We ran multiple looks today on the Spring game … 3 man front all inside the tackle box …. 3 man front spread out … last years 4 man with 1 as a standup edge rusher … saw some 2,3,and 4 LB looks …. Vanilla blitzes but came from all areas of the field
