The Army-Navy game contract with CBS runs through 2018. This Forbes article from December expects CBS to pony up $10M/year to renew it, now that it has a specific date and an exclusive slot. This is definitely an obstacle that must be dealt with for Navy to join. Let's see how the details of the TV deal work out and how this part of the negotiation can be worked out before casting judgement as to whether Navy will join or not.

Thats totally reasonable--but if you are realistic--we are dealing with 2 million a team in income here. Theres just not alot we have to offer. The Army Navy game is just one aspect of thier media income. Navy has 6 other home games under contract to CBS. CBS can bump Navys current contract to 5 million (for the other games) and keep them pretty easily. We are in a knife fight with a plastic spork.
