Console sales were under Game Cube numbers. That said, the Wii did crazy numbers due to its own "gimmick" of motion controls, to compare them is kind of hard to do.

Also the first Nintendo console generation to not release an original Zelda game. I don't know how you don't lean on your tentpoles more as a company.

Two things there though....

Zelda U was supposed to come this year for the U but they postponed it... call it what you want but I call TP on this.... they'll use the new Zelda as a NX launch title and throw the U a bone since they said it was coming to the U.

That said, they did have console Zelda that was new in the form of Hyrule Warriors.

I would hardly call Hyrule Warriors a Zelda game. That's a Dynasty Warriors game with some new player skins.

But yeah, this does seem like a Twilight Princess situation, even though I don't quite understand how they'll do it if the rumors about the NX's processing power are true.
