Contracts signed. End of story. Why 2020 instead of 2019 (the announcement was 1/26/2017)? Most likely it had something to do with contracts and Big Sky schedules set up for the 2016-19 period (http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbm...09494583), as they do it in four year blocks, and schools committing to those. Mind you they had to revise the last two years for Idaho (not reflected in that old article). The two year exit notice would have allowed leaving in 2019, but that would have left UND owing road games to four Big Sky schools they hosted in 2016-18 period and there is undoubtedly some financial penalty for backing out of those.

Yeah, sorry I can't produce a conspiracy like NoDak. Just boring things like finance and contracts.

To be fair, the conspiracy theory is pretty boring too. 03-wink
