ESPN has FAU at 9 commits (5 signed) - none below 3*
Why did you flip between 24/7 and ESPN? Is it because 24/7 has FAU recruits rated lower than ESPN?
According to 24/7, which I tend to like better, FAU has a 5 signed (four 3*, one 2*) and 7 commits (four 3*, one 2*, two not rated).
That's not to say FAU isn't doing a good job recruiting, because I think you guys are.
No, it's because 247 has a quirky rating system (3* and 3 dots? 3* and 1 dot? 4* and no dots?) and the two of them have a different number of guys. I am not sure which one is the most authoritative. I have always preferred ESPN.
The number of dots shows you how many recruiting agencies have been used in the composite scoring. Three dots means 247, Rivals, and ESPN have all been accounted for. One dot means only one has (mostly likely 247's own rating). From my experience, 247 has been more consistently reliable. Plus, the composite scores account for potential outlier ratings from one agency.
Thank you for the clarification on the dots, I couldn't find an explanation on what they stood for in the 247 legend or FAQ.
nice get.
