You'd lose.

We had 28K against ECU, and everyone they brought came in one car.

The attendance slide started when the season went in the tank.

Not complicated.

ECU travels as well as any team in this conference, better than the majority. The reason ECU did not come to the UAB game is that it's just not very exciting to come to an away game in an empty stadium.

Not that's the worst excuse I've ever heard.

Fact is you will be lucky to see more then 1k Pirate fans at any UAB game in Birmingham.
We have a very attractive home and away schedule for the next ten years. With trips to Navy, VT, UNC, NCST, UVA, WVA etc... The only CUSA away games you will see many Pirate fans at will be Marshall and UCF as they are the only driveable destinations.

It's a shorter drive to Orlando than Birmingham?

Please don't misunderstand. My comments were not a swipe at how ECU travels, but rather to point out that, early in the season when UAB fans had cause for optimism, they had a decent crowd that was, but for a small percentage, UAB fans.

Not much difference but slightly easier with it being a straight shot down I95. We also have a pretty decent amount of alumni in Florida as well as Georgia and S.C. that will make this trip including those from N.C.
Orlando is easy for me to fly in and out of so I will make that game more often then I will make the Marshall game.
If ECU makes it to Birmingham this year for a Bowl Game, I will definitely be there.

Then why did you only bring 25-50 fans to the Rock?

Almost as bad as Tiger Football. We'll call baseball the tie-breaker... Oh wait.
