I do think that the Big East split will not be in the best interests of Charlotte however. I won't take a nuclear physist to predict the that the 7 (or 8 if Notre Dame goes with them) Big East b'ball schools will then cherry pick the Atlantic 10.

I would bet that Xavier and Dayton will be gone and that still leaves all nonfootball schools as Catholic and midwest/east ... as strong as Charlotte hoops has been, it would still be extremely unlikely that they would dip into the South (outside their dual geography) and then even more unlikely to take a non-Catholic school. St. Joe's is interesting in that I don't think Villanova would want a second Philly school.

St. Louis would either be added to the leftover BE hoops or then would be so isolated that they'd go to the Missouri Valley .... which is almost on par with the A-10 right now and would be better after the 2 or 3 of the top schools are grabbed.

That would leave a weakened A-10 but still with 10-12 schools. You then would want to RUN from Fordham, La Salle, St. Bonnie, and Duquesne as fast as you can. I think then that Charlotte's best bet would be to reform a conference with the other top schools remaining in the A-10 (Charlotte, Richmond, UMass, maybe URI) with the top CAA schools that are rumored to be unhappy due to the coming 1-AA football stuff (VCU, Old Dominion, Drexel). That would be a 2-4 bid league in big markets that actually CARE about the schools. Those saying that Fordham delivers NYC can't be serious.

The best thing you could do is just go away and leave us to keep supporting our BBall team as we continue our success in post season play.

I missed the "clear and crisp" crack as I was replying to the original post, but when your degree actually counts for something like when you graduate from the U of Memphis there's no need to work the drive through unlike say for instance if you simply attended a technical school like UNC of C or whatever the name is on your diploma.

Actually I enjoy posting here. You get plenty of entertainment, loads of self assurance and it doesn't cost you a dime. Then that money can go towards the .25 your mom charges.

We are all sports fans here, and have a miriad(sp) of teams we hoot and holler for, not just the Tigers or 49ers. Aas a Niner fan, I have little experience with rivalry. The program is rougly 35 years old. With other, older pro and college teams, I do understand the intricacies(is that even a word?)of rivalry. And our two teams are rivals.

Until this year, I knew of only one 9er rivalry. Cincinnati. No disrespect meant to Mecklenburg County rivals named Davidson.

Then I started becoming a college basketball message board douche, and we're all douches, and I witnessed what is the Memphis Tiger basketball community. Now Cincinnati ain't so bad.
