A journalist?

Forget about the spelling of McPherson, look at all
of his other posts.

Everytime there is the least little problem, the trolls
come out in strength.

DT...you are so "excited" about the possibility of
Florida State having to vacate its title. Why?

Because Maryland wasn't "Man" enough to do it on
the field. That's All!

There is no illegal recruiting here...No grade fixing...
Hmmm, point shaving...Are you saying that it should
have been worse than 37-10! 30-0 at Halftime...
At your own stadium! haha haha haha haha haha

NCAA investigation...Sure!

Do you want the storyline Grantland Rice?

(Shawnee Mission, Kansas) The NCAA concluded its
investigation of possible point shaving at Florida State
University, and have discovered no wrong doing on
the University's part. The NCAA is satisfied that Florida
State officials took all the required procedures and handled
this internal problem in a most efficient way.

The NCAA, which investigated as far back as 1992, reported
that Florida State is only guilty off "trying to hold the score
down" against other member institutions in its Conference.

Most notably would be its efforts to save the University
of Maryland from possible shame. After racing to a
30-0 halftime lead, FSU Coach Bobby Bowden was asked
by UM officials to "hold it down"...they didn't think they
had enough light bulbs on the scoreboard, to post the
"projected" Florida State score.

What's the difference between the word chAMp and the
word chUMp! You got it DT...UM!

I don't care either way honestly, let's just see what the investigation (if any occurs) says.

FSU is a perenially talented school, it helps put the ACC on the map in Football and Baseball. All the same, they are the ACC champs this year in Football, so congrats.

I think that DT2's response was based on what MsNole said. After all, us UMD fans do get emotional after games (I know i do, i almost broke something on saturday), whether they are victories or defeats. I reccomend that next time, fans outside of the game keep their mouths shut... this goes for Terp fans as well. It'll avoid unnecessary conflict, is all.

Okay, i just finished doing history work, so i'm taking a nappy poo... ah, screw it, i'll stay up.

This is the "smack talk" board so anyone saying that no one should talk "smack" on it should not post here. I don't need anyone, especially a fellow Terps fan, to tell when and how I should conduct myself on the "smack talk" board. That is its purpose... that's all. Please resume talking smack. Good luck to Free $hoes University!!! 04-cheers

Question for you gmaniac. Just so you know its more then 1 school involved in certain things with agents. What other school was involved in a 'Free Shoes' scandal ? They had a Heisman trophy winner that had just left the school before the story broke. I wonder why??

My comment was in reference to the Maryland fan(s) who couldn't wait for North Carolina State to beat us so they could back into the conference title. If ya can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. If your skin is that thin, hit the ignore button or better yet... GROW UP!!! 05-nono

Well, I guess my roomate said it best: It's not the teams that are annoying, it's the _ssholes that support them.

What does this have to with Maryland? I don't recall this being an issue however, please feel free to elaborate G&G, so as to understand you. :bang:

to be honest..i should have started this thread in the acc forum...this was not meant to be a flame, it was merely for people to talk about the mcpherson situation and I thought it would be more fun to have it here, and since it is here...

I do have a question for the FSU fans who have so graciously reminded me over and over that they put the whopping stick to us in college park...i was just wondering...what happen to all of that preseason national championship talk going on down in tallahasse? don't hear much about it now, do we...

DT no you dont hear about it. All teams have aspirations of winning the NC, so? Maryland did alot of talking about keeping the ACC championship in Maryland, didnt happen, again, so ? We had our expectations put on the NC, we didnt reach them and neither will 114 other D-1 schools. You said it best in your post..."pre season". Miami wasnt expected to last the season, they still havent lost. Ohio St. is one of the teams in the Fiesta, how many people picked them? Just like how many people picked Notre Dame to be in the top 10? Hey we didnt meet our expectations, only two teams will and one team will succeed. Preseason is all hype, just like the Heisman is turning out to be, but it makes for good football conversation. If by chance you were refering to me about Maryland losing, well, the only thing I said was if Maryland would have handled their business Saturday we wouldnt have this discussion or debate, whatever you want to call it on the Noles possible forfeit of the ACC title, which is very true. Maryland would have won and been BCS Bowl bound, like the saying goes, win all your games and everything else will take care of itself.

I do wish that somebody would answer DT's question about WHERE in this thread ANY Maryland fan said ANYTHING about wanting the ACC Championship back. You guys won it fair and square...even if it did take our loss to UVA to lock it up for you.

BTW...personal insults and "witty" comments about spelling errors are NOT the way to have an intelligent discussion on ANY topic...and I'd like to thank the FSU fans that realize that. :)

Lil Red Terp - this is the SMACK board. I'm having fun... aren't you? DamascusTerp2 started this thread by calling the Seminoles Criminoles. So we got off the subject - so what. All this bs started just because I gave the Maryland Terps a little bit of their own medicine and they didn't like it. I still find it quite funny. Do I have a chip on my shoulder - nah, I'm used to other people and teams being jealous of the Seminoles beating them. I get to hear a lot about how awful our conference is and I still defend it to this day.

Now do YOU understand what a smack board is? It's a place to smack people whether it's insulting them or doing witty comments as you put it. Intellegent conversations are for the other boards... NOT THIS ONE

Fine, it's the smack board, I have no problem with that...it's just that "talking smack" means talking about each other's teams...not nitpicking on grammar points...and if we can keep the argument on topic that's even better, know what I mean?

Actually a smack board is for smacking teams and/or people like when ya'll went after me. I have never been very good at smacking, so I just decided to have a little fun with it. Like those sayings... mine weren't really directed at anyone... just things that popped into my mind that sorta went with what the poster before me said. I only hit Damascus with the spelling thing cause it always bothered me that journalists got the person's name spelled wrong. Guess that's what happened from being a secretary for the government for so long. Thank God I'm retired from that...

Anyway, here's wishing everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I'm thankful that the snipers were caught and no one in the Washington DC area will have to worry any more about them. I'm going to the Tampa area tomorrow and ya'll might not see me on here for a few days. Try not to miss me too much.

Really though... ya'll have a GREAT Thanksgiving!!!

MsNole :D
