and another thing nate...how can you possibly say that Duke has great fans when no one even bothers showing up for the football games, but everyone is clamoring all over themselves for bball tickets...too me, that is not the definition of great fans...

Again, where were you all sitting? On the Maryland side? This happened on the Duke side, section 26, to be exact.

Damascus, actually, today was a very good turnout. I'd venture to guess it was 2/3 filled, and about 4/5 of them weren't wearing red.

Maybe you're right, maybe our fans as a whole aren't GREAT, but we aren't bottle-chucking, rioting fools like a lot of Maryland fans are. Oh, and to any decent Maryland fans, I apologize if I've ever lumped you in with the bad ones.

If you were at Wade you would know there IS NO DUKE SIDE! In case you are interested, here is a link to what a bozo everyone thinks you are, but I have a feeling it will only encourage your stupidity:

LOL, I have gone to every home game since 2000, save a couple. The stadium has a visitors side, which today, was covered in red. The opposing side is what I consider "the Duke side" because on most games, that's the only place a Duke fan can be found. It's usually opposing teams or empty around the "back of the field goal post" side.

Would you really like to challenge the fact that I was at the game? Please do.

Oh, and BTW, I live within 20 miles of Wallace Wade.

If what you say is true, it sounds like Duke fans were throwing bottles at their OWN TEAM!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

How?

Of course there are some Maryland fans on "the Duke side" and like Maryland fans attested to on accboards.com, there were Duke fans on the visiting side. Just because the majority of fans on that side are Duke fans, doesn't mean there weren't Maryland fans there. You should know that.

Sorry Nate, I didn't see a single red shirt on that side of the field. Further, I have photographic proof:

By the way, after seeing those photos, I take back that 3/4 of the stadium filled guess. Man, it looked a lot more filled than those pics would show.

And Rt1, if you wanna challenge me on whether I was at the game or not, feel free to ask me questions about the first half. Like, say, about the video on education with Chris Douglas and Winter Whitley. Or the first play of the game in which Chris Douglas was flattened by EJ Henderson. Or that terrible play we had in which our shittiest QB Dapolito threw a pick from our own 1 yard line when the receiver wasn't even looking, much less running the same pattern Dap thought he was?

I can see where you're trying to go with this, but there's a difference. I was within 30 feet of the guys throwing the bottles. You were across the field.

rt1.. why are you arguing with him? he's 15.. immature.. and you're falling right into his trap. not ONE duke fan has substantiated his stories. leave him alone.. let him go to bed.. he'll wake up alone with his computer again tomorrow... with his great fan base not even supporting him.

Nate, I'm not questioning your presence. I see you in pictures throwing crap at your own team's bench.

LOL, nice try at trying to make a "parody" of my claim.

Unfortunately, there's a few loopholes my friend...

wait, I got it...

In his disgust with the state of the Duke Football program and the bad light it sheds on the that university that he might choose to attend, Duke University basketball recruit Luol Deng launched the watter bottles from his seat in the Duke section at the pathetic blue devils sideline

Man, Damascus, after predicting Duke to beat a 10 point spread just 3 days ago, your opinion SURE has changed...

Maybe I should clarify that. Would your team beating up on us really make your opinion change that much to where we are "worthless" and "pathetic"?
