THG: I feel confident enough that both Chris & Justin will be back for the 2005-06 season that I'll make a bet with you. We can do this either small $ or simple sig line bet. Whaddaya say dude?
I'm suprised Paul didn't go pro last year. If he doesn't suffer the "sophmore slump," he's sure to go. I'll take that bet.

peace.

I wouldn't say this if it wasn't in Greenville, but I hope you don't think you're just going to walk into Minges and get a 'W'. Big mistake. I am glad you guys are on our schedule as it's a good game to test our extremely young squad against. Looking forward to watching it.
Of course not. Wright State is the only gimme to start the season for us.
I think Wright State will be pretty good this year in the Horizon League. They are a very young and talented team and tOSU transfer Zach Williams should be able to provide some experience and leadership.

Also I think the Big 10 will finally win the ACC-Big 10 challenge this year. The Big 10 will finally return to being the top conference in the nation after 2 very bad seasons.
Toledo returns all 5 starters from a 20-11 team that beat Wright State by 37 points last year. We are also picked to win the MAC and play in the NCAA tournament this year.

That's a bit of spin. You return 5 guys who started but also graduated your most solid inside players who also started. Stan started 8-9 guys. He also has a history of starting big young'ens to get their feet wet when they are freshmen/soph, just like he did with Ricardo and AJ, but playing the older guys as much or more inthe whole game. You have big question marks in the interior, especially in depth.
Joplin has also set the table for his own demise by hyping this team as a top 25 team. And you have locker room problems if you check it out. I think the intangibles and morale will do you in in the long run, but that's just one man's opinion.
That said, you will go as far as Trip will carry you--he'll win some games, no doubt. When he starts hitting there are few better. Plus the west is not that strong this year so you should take it.
But you still have to find a way to beat us, something Stan has had problems with.

We do lose some big guys inside, but we have someone that will make an impact inside that Toledo hasn't had in several years..........freshman center Haris Charalambous (6-10, 260) from Manchester, England. Also, Kareem Milson (6-7, 235) played quite a bit last year and will be a force inside. Finally, sophomore Allen Pinson (6-10, 235) looked very strong at the end of last season and should make a big impact inside.

The scary thing about our team is that only Keith Triplett and Kareem Milson our seniors. Every one else will be back in the 2005-2006 season, and that includes a transfer from West Virginia that is sitting out this year and will be a redshirted sophomore next year.

This Rocket team is going to be very good and is our first legitimate chance at a NCAA Tourney team in years. I also think that we are stronger and bigger inside then last year's team. They are just a little bit less experienced, but not by much.

UTEP will be strong this season w/ Omar Thomas and Filberto Rivera. That's as fine a 1-2 punch you'll see in the WAC. It's a shame their seniors.

peace.
