USF is in fine position. If they keep winning, they will rise into the top 5 and have a shot at the national title game.
But any Big East team with a loss is contending for nothing but an orange bowl bid, and given their schedules, that's entirely appropriate.
Actually that quote is not quite right, the reason is very easy the BIG EAST has a very strong BCS Computer number and it will get credit for beating up on ourselves in the BCS Computer rankings.
Even though they are not BIG names Cincinnati, USF and UConn has very strong computer numbers and that is 1/3 of the BCS Component.
What I find amusing is that he is claiming that a one loss Big East team couldn't play for the national title. Yet, if West Virginia hadn't lost to USF last year they're likely playing Ohio State for the national title. Because they were ahead of Florida in the computers.

The Big East conference schedule is a minefield this year and will be for some time.

Exactly. It's funny though, if you notice, the people who are constantly trying to tell us that the Big East is bad are the fans of non-BCS conferences who said that we would fail and we would lose our autobid. They're trying to tell us what other BCS conference fans are saying yet other BCS conferences are fine with the Big East.

Now before any of you BE'sters start ripping CUSA (2 late) look at the number of posts he or she or douche bag has.
Yup hence my rating of this lowlife reflects that this is not indicative of the overall UCF fanbase.

Ban this Troll!!!:noisycricket:
Matt Hayes should have waited until the polls came out, this article since the AP and Coaches Poll came out make him look stupid.
Last I check no shame in having half of your league in the AP and Coaches Poll Top 25 with one team in the Top 10 and 2 in the Top 15.

Not only that, but 4 ranked teams in a conference of 8. I don't understand the Op-Ed. What a dumb*** thing to write.

Saying such is foolish. About as foolish as calling Tebow overrated right now.

Ugh you just aren't letting that go are you? 4 ranked teams out of 8 granted I don't think my own team Rutgers deserves to be ranked is quite good. I think UConn deserves to be ranked more so than us.

What makes it even more ironic is that it's the fans of the programs that desperately want in to this 'overrated' league.
Jerks!
