Look on the bright side Chris Johnson set a bowl game record for all-purpose yards against BS in that game...

Not that it matters, but the same thing happened to Boise State against Oklahoma. They were up by two or three touchdowns, and let off the gas, and Oklahoma came back and took the lead. Granted, it made for a much more memorable game, but no one ever mentions that Oklahoma was getting their asses handed to them; they say Boise State won a close game with fluke trick plays.

Boise's biggest lead in that game was 11.

ECU lead Boise 31-14 at half-time, and 38-14 mid way through the 3rd quarter.

But I get your point, everyone remember the Boise win as a "miracle."

Boise was up 28-10 in the 3rd quarter of that Fiesta Bowl.

You're right. I stand corrected.

RE: Real Information on the Future of the Big East
I think the Mountaineers could have the best defense in the conference. They've got almost everyone back, and the replacements are all very talented, and have game experience. The offensive line will be good, and WVU's Devine stable of running backs is the equal of anyone in the nation. The only question marks are the QB, and finding enough WRs...

But I think Geno Smith will be a very good QB, and the Mountaineer passing attack will be very good as well this season as a result. If this turns out to be true, Devine could also be in for a monster year, when defenses start worrying more about WVU's passing game and he goes for one long TD scamper after another. I can envision a game in which Devine has Danny Buggs like rushing statistics (Buggs had a game where his rushing stats went 3-178, 3 TDs)...

Perhaps I should clarify. The previous poster asked why I did not list ECU beating BSU, and I was saying because the outomce of such games was not relevant to what I was saying; we were talking about who the team had played. I did not list them "beating" those teams, as in I did not list the outcome, because it was irrelevant, even though it would have been a net positive for them in this regard. Thus I did not list the previous game against TCU because it was not a BCS bowl, nor a team widely thought to be a BCS calibur team, nor did I list the ECU game for the same reasons.

When I was at ECU, we played 5 or 6 (what are now) BCS teams every year. 03-old

I also walked barefoot on the mall to class, in the snow, uphill, both ways.

The mall? I had to walk up hill, both ways, in the sand barefooted, in a long winter coat in 95 degree weather to each individual store, that were located 12 miles away from each other. Oh, and I had to work at each store as well. 05-stirthepot
