If anything could get BC to return to the Big East... isn't it Notre Dame? Notre Dame could bring much bigger players into the fold than Army and Navy.

If we suspend all reasonableness and state that ND would join the BE (and I'll repeat for the gazillionth time that this will never, ever happen), one has to take into consideration as to what type of deal ND would receive, because it certainly wouldn't be an equal revenue sharing deal.

Look at it this way: Texas is probably the single most valuable school in the nation. 2 schools (one of which is a long-time national power) couldn't wait to get away from them. So, just because you have an extremely powerful marquee school doesn't mean that others will move just because of them. If they're acting like a*sholes too much, they can actually drive others that have their own inherent value away.

Being in an equal revenue sharing league like the ACC could very well be better (in fact, I would bet everything that it definitely IS better) for BC than being in a unequal revenue distribution league with ND (as BC already lived through that once in the old BE with Miami, who got the lion's share of the conference TV appearances).

This is easily the most absurd thing that I have seen in a while. Notre Dame wasn't impressed enough about NEBRASKA entering the BIG 10 but some of you think there is a chance that bringing tcu into the big east is what they were looking for. Why don't you just plan on bringing in the Steelers, Patriots and Colts while you are at it.
