The media and others need to stop with the political posturing... it's pathetic, and it's the kind of crap that is gonna end up with someone ELSE hurt, or worse.

The dead haven't even been buried yet. The wounded haven't truly started to heal yet. Let's discuss politics in this down the road... but not now.

I still read this pathetic excuse for a human, to be a mentally unstable guy, who wanted attention in the worst way possible.

Typical of Libs wanting to stop after they get their licks in. Who dismissed the tea party as "AstroTurf". Who depicted falsely the tea party as Nazis and violent. Disgusting.

Trash Bush for years , but ObamaThug is hands off.

Agree. I think it might be better not to try to impute politics to it at all, unless there's a much clearer link than is apparent now.

Links will remain obscure. Shooter's favorite book was Hitler, and Gabby was Jewish, a hate crime? Because of obscurity, we may never know, about any of it. Plain crazy has no ideology.

I'm guessing Sarah Palin doesn't feel that great about this graphic she used on her site during the last election period.

Probabaly as bad as KOS feels for this:

[Image: screen-shot-2011-01-08-at-3-05-33-pm.png]

Or as bad as Obama feels for saying "if they bring a knife you bring a gun"...

DailyKos actually had a diary on its front page a few days ago entitled "My Congresswoman Voted Against Pelosi - now, she's dead to me" referring to Giffords' vote against Pelosi for Minority Leader. Funny how that's not being brought up by anybody in the media.

Daily Kos should be ashamed of that link as well. Getting back to that 9 year old (which hits home because my oldest girl just turned 9 two weeks ago), she was the granddaughter of ex-Phillies (and Mets) manager Dallas Green. It's sick enough that this sicko wanted to make some sort of statement against Giffords but to take down the lives of at least six people in the process is so disgusting, it's beyond belief.

I expect to see more violence in the future. Social unrest across the western world is on the increase not to extent of mass murder, but none the less on the increase. If the economy does not pick up we could see more of this and could also be directed to private companies (bankers). That last election showed how disgusted people are with the political class.

I detest the fed charges filed today, prefer state charges with capital punishment as an option. This is mass murder and should be tried locally. I do not need to see the administration "concerned" or posturing in "action" mode. Prosecute the SOB and then execute justice swiftly.

Bless those whose lives were taken and the families that survived.

I think there is a difference between someone running for office and say someone like a Daily Kos or a Rush Limbaugh type. Palin's cross hair PAC probably should be held to a higher standard because she was on the GOP ticket and could run again. I would like to hear Sharon Angle's version if this is her idea of a 2nd amendment solution? If not what do you mean by a 2nd amendment solution if your party's political views do not win at the ballot box?

You come up with a rationalization for holding Palin to a higher standard because she's on the other side. And the other side does the same when the shoe's on the other foot. Rahm Emanuel targeted (his word) about 50 republican congressmen for defeat in 2006. Te republicans targeted (their word) Tom Daschle in 2002. You weren't exactly leading the charge against Obama (who I believe has run for office and may do so again) when he was calling the republicans enemies, or telling his supporters to bring a gun to the fight. I'm sorry, but unless you're willing to apply the same standard with equal vigor both ways, your words are empty.

+100!

While, I do agree with Mach's sentiments, I also thing each side use a big assed brush to paint the other side... and everyone is guilty as the next guy. Maybe we should step back and look at it from a far and see how it really affects people.

Remember when Rick Parry called for succession? Kind of a violent thing to say. The loons bringing the semi automatic guns to Obama campaign events and Republican politicians saying they have the right. Was this a 2nd amendment solution? If not. What exactly is a 2nd amendment solution?

Quoting one of my fellow Owls, from another board.

I have heard how some football teams don't rebuild, they reload. Good thing I am not a liberal, as then I would believe I was in danger of being shot if I went to one of their games, either by a player or an enraged fan who thought he had been instructed to shoot and kill by the coaching staff.

How stupid.

Way off target. Oops, hope nobody gets killed because I said target. Now I need to go shopping, at Target, where everybody is in danger. Just try to take the last item on sale. BLAM!!! They should rename the store Serenity. Save millions of lives.

I think the Dems are shooting themselves in the foot with this. Damn, I hope none of them take that seriously and actually shoot themselves in the foot. Lots of stupid liberals, who will take any order and execute it. Damn, now I am responsible for executions, too.

Please, libs, I need a list of disapproved words so I meet your standards for semi-free speech.

Clearly, if anybody is hurt in any way in America in the next twenty years or so, it will be my fault.

I would add only that Target is the family company of Mark Dayton, current governor of Minnesota--and a democrat.

Cute story. I'm still wondering if this was a 2nd amendment solution?

Truly amazing a nut goes off and murders -6- people and it's Sarah Palins fault? The age of reasoning is long gone and emotions RAGE and control the public discourse.

BTW, I still can not comprehend the fascination the Dems/Left have of Sarah Palin. She has become the fault and reason for everything, surprised she is not ignored.

Forget Palin................. She's toast. Let's concentrate on people who call for the 2nd amendment solution to cure problems. "Second Amendment remedies" to deal with the supposedly ever-growing "tyrannical" U.S. government. I'm thinkin Sharon Angle types.

What he said was

Rick Perry Wrote:Later, answering news reporters' questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

So where did he call for secession ? Funny about your feckless memory where Conservatives are concerned. You always use the HuffPo point of view.

Liberals put this movie out there, but Sarah Palin's the one inciting violence?

Remember, it wasn't a fictional president... they used actual footage of George W. Bush and made it a story of his assassination.

No, that's just free speech. However, Sarah Palin putting crosshairs on a map of congressional districts? She might as well have the blood on her own hands! [/sarcasm]

It's unfortunate for her career. I can't imagine her coming back from this, but I'm not her core demographic. Who knows? I think it would be great if she got the R nod.
