La. Tech visit tomorrow
Much like Utah St. and San Jose, Louisiana Tech will have their visit by CUSA/MWC officials tomorrow.

The agenda includes a meeting with local politicians from across N. Louisiana, Independence Bowl officials and Hall of Fame players Terry Bradshaw, Fred Dean and Karl Malone. Lunch will be in the president's office and a tour of university and athletic facilities follow.

RE: La. Tech visit tomorrow
Seems like a short visit (depending on how long the lunch meeting is). That means either the decision has already been made or Tech will be informed it is out.

I don't think a tour would happen if Tech was out.

It is interesting that they are there... must have something planned. "Let Tech in and the I Bowl is CUSA's." (probably going to be anyway though. 03-shhhh)

Ya know, that is a good angle to play ...could help CUSA bowl tie ins immediately and even work out well if the merger goes through. This could be a good package deal.

One of only 2 schools I'm really hoping gets an invite. The other one would be Utah State.

Makes sense with Tulane, Rice, Southern Miss, UAB, ECU in the same conference. If I were running CUSA I'd add New Mexico State with North Texas and UTSA as the last two.
CUSA
East-
Marshall
ECU
UAB
Southern Miss
Tulane
La Tech

West-
Rice
Tulsa
North Texas
UTSA
UTEP
New Mexico State

RE: La. Tech visit tomorrow
The Independence Bowl has a contract with the MWC already. If the MWC and C-USA are partnering up in whatever fashion, that bowl will already be brought under C-USA's umbrella, so to speak. I don't get why LTU is necessary to bring the bowl. And if C-USA didn't invite LTU and if LTU had to go to the Sun Belt, would the Bowl align with them over the MWC/C-USA? It's possible I'm unaware of some recent changes in the Bowl's structure and that is playing a role in this LTU expansion stuff. But if nothing's changed it wouldn't make sense, imo, to use the Bowl in LTU's favor.

I think the Indy Bowl is just trying to help Tech out
