RE: CUSA School With The Best Football Stadium?
If it was strictly about amenities then I would go with the Mercedes Super Dome and Tulane. The Super Dome has gone through $350 million in renovations since 2006 and is nice. Tough not to take into consideration the game day environment when picking a stadium so I like on campus stadiums, no domes, grass, tailgating etc. I would vote for Southern Miss and "The Rock" based my criteria for voting. Marshall would be a close second.

Fixing the results so far (removing votes for stadiums from same school fans):
ECU: 7
FAU: 1
UAB: 1
UNT: 4
USM: 3
UTEP: 3
every other stadium has 0

CUSA School With The Best Football Stadium?

Sorry, but your sentence isn't quite clear. I get that you don't like domes. But I'm unclear as to why you don't like domes. Is it that you think domes don't allow tailgating? Or is it that domes don't have grass for playing on? Or that domes don't have grass to tailgate on?
In south Texas, a dome in August and September is the best thing since PB&J. We have tailgating and a great game day atmosphere. But it's not a grass field.
True, you are indoors so there aren't any stars to see or skylines to see. But at 72 degrees it's a great break from the heat.

We actually built ours. Must be nice to get the state to force the city to sell it to you for 1 dollar then brag about how nice your stadium is
You're going with this crap again? We UTEP fans put you on your place years ago about this issue, no need to do it again.
LOL, why let the facts get in the way of a good rant...
Even if SJ was right, which he isn't, that wouldn't detract from how nice the Sun Bowl is...

I just like the more traditional feel but believe me, I love going to ECU games in New Orleans, hanging out and taking in the best of New Orleans and then enjoying the convenience and comfort of the Super Dome. With that said if you give me a choice of what College Football Stadiums that I prefer to attend then outdoor on campus stadiums are always going to win for me. That is just my personal preference but if ECU was playing at UTSA then I would certainly look forward to the road trip as I love San Antonio. My Dad was born in Austin and lived in San Antonio for a while as well. Southern Miss is a great college game day atmosphere with tailgating and very friendly fans that will invite you over, offer you food and beer etc.. Marshall fans are the same way and I like their stadium as well. I don't know much about the new CUSA additions as far as game day atmosphere so that is why I voted the way I did.

Rice's stadium looks like a "big-time" stadium.
So I voted for theirs.

ECU has a great atmosphere but the stadium just isn't that great. I prefer stadiums where the field is Aiken and you enter at a midlevel. That helps the floe in and out. The concession areas there are also substandard.

Don't feel bad; I did the exact same thing. I voted for ours (without reading the instructions) becuase I do think that we have the best overall game-day experience and we do have a nice stadium.
If I would have followed the instructions, I would have picked The Rock or The Sun Bowl.

Not sure why you included "off campus", rent-a-stadium like the UAB's thingy, the Superdome and Alamo Dome.

Um, because that's where member institutions play their "home" games?

I voted for USM...as they were one of the few alphabets that I even recognized out of that list. (plus they have a cool stadium to boot).

Not our fault, Coastal Plain, ie no real hills. Digging down isn't an option, the water table in Greenville is 30 under ground, unless you football in a swimming pool.
BTW, when's the last time you've been to DFS? substandard my arse. I've been to Marshall, Memphis, South Carolina, UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake, VT, WVU, Alabama.
UNC is the worst, too few concession stands, NC State second worst, try going to the restroom, no wonder their students just pee in the stands.
What is so substandard about DFS?
