I picked ECU cause thats the only CUSA field I've been to, looking forward to visiting others. The Rock looks great also, looking forward to that roadtrip.

My vote goes to the Alamodome.

By the way, a more up to date picture than the one shown for Tulsa could be either this

or this

I voted ECU.

However the only other one I have been to in that poll is Marshall. UTEP is one of the stadiums I would like to visit based on the scenery around it.

RE: CUSA School With The Best Football Stadium?
Rice Stadium, Houston, Texas, "IS" a big time stadium.

I even saw a couple of Houston Oiler games there and one against the Kansas City Chiefs who had former UNT Mean Green All American Abner Haynes on their team. (The late KC Chief's owner and SMU alum Lamar Hunt always called Abner Haynes the AFL's first superstar). NOTE: The Oilers played a couple of years at Rice Stadium when they couldn't work out a deal with Judge Roy Hofheinz to move their games to the Astrodome AND.......I saw the 1966 Bluebonnet Bowl game at Rice Stadium when Darrell K. Royal's Texas Longhorns led by QB Super Bill Bradley, Chris Gilbert, Ernie Koy, Jr., etc, etc, etc, beat Ole Miss 19 to 0.

Rice Stadium was also where I saw my first ever college football game as 11 yo kid from nearby Danbury, Texas, back in about 1962.

President John F. Kennedy had his "we will have a man on the moon before the end of this decade" speech at Rice Stadium.

Love those Fightin' Owls and their MOB....Marching Owl Band. I hope they will make UNT's Apogee Stadium one of their conference road appearances this Fall. HINT! HINT! Rice Alums! LOL!

JFK speech at Rice Stadium:

1999, I have been to ECU 4 times, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. Like I said, great atmosphere. The tailgating is good and when you are in your seat watching the game it's all good. The concession areas and getting to them is substandard. If something happened and you had to evacuate the place quickly it would be a nightmare.

RE: CUSA School With The Best Football Stadium?
if we are strictly talking stadiums and not game days, i picked utep - i've been there twice and its just a really neat stadium
the superdome is just not a college stadium so its not fair to put it in this contest. its remarkable what has been done to it post katrina
i would have voted marshall second, i just really like that stadium
the rest of the stadiums i've been to i'll rank like this:
ecu, rice, southern miss, mtsu, tulsa, uab

Untrue, many of use ECU fans were at the UTEP game this year and the stands were ordered emptied, it didn't take long at all. I was actually surprised how quickly everyone got under the stadium. Just an FYI, the older parts of the stadium were designed and built 50 years ago and the same company that designed DFS designed Lane Stadium and BB&T field at Wake Forest.

I been to many other stadiums and movement through stadium is very similar, better than in fact. Our access points from the stands to the concession areas are wider than UNC and South Carolina.

To suggest there is a safety issue in the design of the stadium is just wrong unless you have factually information to back it up and not just your opinion.

Not our fault, Coastal Plain, ie no real hills. Digging down isn't an option, the water table in Greenville is 30 under ground, unless you football in a swimming pool.

04-cheers Thanks for cluing this guy in. Pretty much every above ground stadium is built that way for the exact same reason. I guess a "banker" wouldn't know much about construction though.

Dude, I didn't say you built it wrong or that it should have been a sunken field, I said I prefer stadiums built that way. Why do ECU fans have such sandy vages over everything? The whining gets old.
