I went non-homer, and picked Marshall. Very original logo and clean. ODU & ECU were close seconds though. My homer vote goes to USM, of course.

Wow, pulling some ancient history there. In the late 80's, we had the "Food Lion" logo. Not sure how long that abomination lasted, but here is the logo to which gdunn is referring....

Dooley did a good job with our official logos while in Ruston. Our State T logo is solid and pretty well known around the country. Even LSU fans like it

I never realized until now that LA Tech is the only CUSA school with RED as a primary color. Very cool.

My favorite non-homer logos are Rice (love the classic look) and Tulane. I also think UTSA did a great job with their Roadrunner design. Very cool. Wish it had been as large as the others in the initial thread.

The main difference, my friend, is one of those was official on documents, etc., while the other was a joke.

I like ODU's and USM's. I'd like ECU's if I could ever get over the purple.

I think our secondary Bulldog logo absolutely rocks. Other than that, I think USM's logo makes Iowa's logo look like prehistoric chalk drawings and Charlotte's design is simple, recognizable, an orignal (for the most part).

I like the North Texas logo because it has a bit of a Judas Priest vibe to it.

I'm old. I like tradition. Tech's logo is my favorite. Not only is the logo on point, but the colors are fantastic. So many places manage to screw up what should be an easy color combination of red/white/blue. Tech does it right.

Rice to me is a distant second, but still way above the rest. Nothing is wrong with it, I just like Tech's that much more.

To me, EC has always just missed the mark. I like the PSOM, jolly roger, and 'Pedro' okay, but not as much as I would like a logo that was far simpler, like the Calico Jack Rackham flag (maybe purple/gold rather than black/white):

Non-homer would be UTEP. Would've been USM if they still had the previous logo.

I didn't vote for my own but love Rice. It goes good with anything.

Yes to WKU. But they weren't included in the initial thread.

Officially, both the Red & Blue are LA Tech's primary colors. I didn't mention the Blue because a ton of CUSA members have Blue as a primary color. In fact, so many CUSA team's have blue as a primary color, I think Tech would be wise to embrace the red and move primarily to the red as long as we are in CUSA.

I really like ecu's logo except take off that hankie off his neck, it makes him look too gay. You know that logo on your playing field? Well, that's my favorite, it's really nice. As much as ecu's fans get on my nerves with their whining, I still like the school, the fans, not so much.

FIU's panther is really good too. He looks like he should be caged.

ODU's lion would look much better without that stupid hat he wears. There's no need for it, everyone knows the lion is the king of beasts.

Tulsa should call themselves the Tornadoes. A hurricane in Oklahoma, now that's crazy. And don't say that it can't change because there's tons of schools that have changed their logos. It would be much more appropriate if you wanted to keep a weather related logo.

As for MT, it doesn't sound good, "Empty" sort of like Ecu's "Easy U". Keep the horse get rid of the lightning and wings or at least incorporate the horse alone into your logos much more than you do now.

You'd be surprised how many people think our mascot is a butterfly and dont understand why a lion is used to represent a monarch. You give "everyone" way too much credit. lol. The crown is often used by itself on school publications as well.

In essence, people are really stupid. Lol.
