It was bad enough to have one thread on this subject, but two???? These 2 fan groups have certainly grown to hate each other.
You can certainly see that this would have been a bitter rivalry had ECU stayed with us. I do suspect they will win today, and probably rather handily, but this has been a crazy week so far, and it's only Saturday morning!

After seeing K State go down last night, my confidence level is not as high as it was a few days ago, lol.
According to the ECU Pirates All-Access link, the option is to "listen" to the game. Is there no video with ECU All-Access? I can get the audio for free from any number of places.

Ah, me thinks those two will be blitzing. Overton, Bigger and other LB's will be on WR's, along with our DB's. Please, use your head, we have faced far better WR's than ODU has. Hell, our guys go up against our WR's every day. You have seen the WR's at Houston and Marshall?????
Oh, Overton runs a 4.4 40, he is fast enough to play corner.
You keep telling yourself ECU has played better talent and you are correct. That is not the point.
ODU is returning their entire offense, entire coaching staff on offense. Many of these guys have been together for decades. ODU will do things that will bother ECU defensively.
One of ODU's starters at WR didn't even make the 2-Deep.
Better knock us out in the first quarter or it's going to be a nervous night for you and 45k of your best friends.
Good luck, I'm on the way down for a great time.
What do you think that you will do, that we don't run our selves or that other teams we play run. Most of our staff is from Texas Tech and have been together a long while. You know we have Lincoln Riley, one of Mike Leach's under studies. And our new DC has been around, he was the #2 guy on the D staff here when we won back2back C-USA title and the DC at Tulane when they went undefeated in 1998.
You act like we've never seen a offense like you run before or a QB like your's before, wrong.
Our guys are ready, focused, and we are Pirates, we back down from NO ONE.....
Me thinks the ODU folks are thinking only of what their offense is going to do. The question better be what is your defense going to do? I say run the ball down ODU's throat until they can prove they can stop it. Besides, we don't have such a great quarterback and receivers as they do. Our offense doesn't have much experience or playing time together.

ODU is going to get smashed in the mouth today.
Respect all, fear none.
It is not directly related, but it's a reminder that anything can happen on any given Saturday.
That said, if we show up, play our game, and handle business there SHOULD be nothing to worry about.

It can be done. Just watch. Heinicke is the reigning Walter Payton Award winner. He will show ECU why.
This is Ruff's 4th year at ECU and the one thing that most ECU fans will tell you is that Ruff almost never losses to a team that he is favored to beat. Now the flip side to that is that he rarely beats teams that he is favored to lose to. That is why I am having trouble seeing ODU beat ECU this evening, because Ruff is favored.

One thing that has impressed me about this staff since they have been here...When we are the better team we win. I honestly can not remember a game in which we we favored that we have lost under Coach Ruff...They do a pretty good job of getting the kids ready to play.
I will say that some of these FBS vs FCS games have solidified my belief that ODU will be a tough out for us and if we do not play well they can and will beat us.
Anyway...Enjoying the tailgate scene here in Greenville and I am very, very happy we are playing this game at night because it is freaking jungle hot out here right now.
Go Pirates and hoping for an injury free game for both squads.

The closest game that I can remember that Ruff lost that he was probably favored to win was at UTEP a couple years back. ECU had so many injuries that year that is possible that ECU was not even favored
