It was a fluke with Davis. He was just good enough to look good, but never good enough to look great. I don't care what he did at Indiana, and I sure as hell don't care what he did in his heyday at UAB. I wish him the best, but his time was done. The program was stale. His games bored the tears out of folks. He couldn't keep kids, or even get them to school. I don't understand why you have to defend him so strongly when every UAB fan feels otherwise.

And who the F*** cares what RPI Forecast says right now? They also said UNC would beat us by about 10. The Temple game was just bizarre circumstances. Most teams take a beating once or twice a year, hopefully that was ours. And no, the fan base is not going to turn on him anytime soon. He is working his butt off, and it shows.

I don't care about that conference enough to know.

What I suspect, though, is that you'll find something to nitpick about the school of anybody who dares challenge your basketball prowess, and that of the mighty ECU Pirates.

I'm glad to see you adjusted it to a top 51 ranking, since you said before it was top 50.

But Davis was there 6 years, not 5.

And I'm sure you have been told before that there were ther factors other than a winning percentage that got Davis fired.

He was almost fired mid season when 1/4 of the team flunked out, including his own son. He was quoted as saying that he doesn't require the team to do any studying on road trips because it is a waste of time. The APR hit we took was a direct result of him. He did zero community work to promote the program.

He tried to alter the LOI process so he could take his recruits (including Demarcus Cousins) with him when he thought he was going to get hired away to a bigger job.

That plan fell through because he was a lousy coach and he couldn't get a second look.

If he was such a great coach, why is he a Texas Southern. I would think a great coach such as him could have done better, don't you think?
