You should go and support Pitt. I hope your not disappointed in the outcome. Bowling Green looked pretty good against Northern Illinois and a victory is not guaranteed.

If my math is correct, NC State, Wake, and UVa will make about $3.6 million and stay home. Hmm, that might beat a bad bowl in a poor location. I calculate the ACC taking in $50-$52 million from the bowls and of course the ACC will be keeping Maryland's share.

Not as nice as UNC and Miami making bowl revenue last year despite being barred from postseason play due to sanctions.

That's payback for the other conference teams making money off of our NCAA Tournament performances.

Wild dogs couldn't drag me to Detroit to watch an awful Pitt team get its arse kicked by a MAC school. If that makes me a bad fan, so be it.

I feel ya. The only attractive thing for me is that I have some friends up in the Trenton/Riverview area.

I've been to everyone since the Liberty, except for the middle BBVA, but I don't know if I can swing the 26th. If I lived in Pittsburgh, I'd definitely do it. As is, I'll be over 8 hours away by car.

RE: 11 ACC teams in bowls
BTW, 11 teams in bowls from one conference is an NCAA record.

Also, the nation's longest active consecutive bowl streak came to an end this year with Florida at 22 years.

The new leader is Virginia Tech at 21.

Here's the remaining top active bowl streaks.

1. Virginia Tech 21
2. Georgia Tech 17
2. Georgia 17
4. Oklahoma 15
5. LSU 14
6. Boise State 12
6. Wisconsin 12
8. Clemson 9
8. BYU 9
8. Oregon 9
11. Alabama 8
11. Oklahoma State 8
13. Florida State 7
13. Michigan State 7
15. Pitt 6
15. Nebraska 6
15. Northern Illinois 6

22. San Diego State 4
22. Washington 4

I've been to Charlotte to watch UNC and down to Birmingham to watch Ole Miss. What I really need to do is head to an away game.

When did Florida State miss? I thought they had like 32 bowls in a row or something like that.

Yep, it should be 32 in a row for FSU. That list was from College Football Data Warehouse, so it is apparently wrong. Puts the whole list in doubt.

Florida State had to vacate its 2006 Emerald Bowl appearance. That means College Football Data Warehouse is actually correct. FSU's streak is officially at 7.

***Add in about $15 million for TV, 500,000 for the CCG, and a couple million for basketball tourney revenue (excluding the newbies), and we are in the $21-23 range.***

They went to a bowl even if they had to vacate the results of it. Most people still count it.
