Just not fair. Either give them the tools to survive or cut the throat on Football.

So far, the board has nothing to do with this. We will see how much they involve themselves going forward.

They should count their blessings that they're not, it's as obvious as the noses on our faces. UAB is drowning in a sea of evil, systematic suppression, oppression and corruption, the last thing those bastards on that board of trustees want is for UAB to have a thriving competitive, successful football program, because they are loyal only to the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa when it comes to provisions for any given football program in their system. I'm thoroughly convinced it's never going to change .

Right, but I can just see it now. Let's say someone like Eddie Gran is interested. He's known as an up and coming coach and has been linked to several HC jobs. Would'nt the board most likely torpedo that hire like they did Fisher? I REALLY want UAB to succeed but it just seems like the board wont let it happen for facilites and other necessary things for football.

Do they not care that UAB is good at basketball?

Mike Anderson had to hire a lawyer because the BOT tried to refuse a bonus he had contractually earned. Helped him make his decision to go to Missouri, I'm sure.

Most of the defensive staff was already fired. OL coach just left for Akron. I have no idea who is even still around.

And Akron has far better facilities than UAB, too. A fresh coat of paint on a cracker-box sized building is not going to change a culture of losing. Sure reads like the ship is listing if not completely sinking, at UAB. This ought to "help" with recruiting, eh? Wow...When it rains, it (bleeping) pours...

UAB will hire a coach and field a football team next year. It's all good.

But how do you dig your way out of this? It just seems insurmountable as long as you cant build quality practice and support facilities and/or the city is willing to make even minimum improvements to Legion Field.

There are 120 or so D1 coaching gigs out there, and a helluva lot more guys that want one of them.

Yet, on those rare occasions they speak to the media, one or more the claim they are not out to get UAB. #Bull****!!!!

Yeah and a hell of a lot of 3* kids between Birmingham and Atlanta who will visit and start asking to see the locker room, weight room, player's lounge and practice field. That is the real hump I dont see you able to get over with. How do you convince those kids Not to go to Troy or MTSU or stAte?

What about South Alabama, are they a threat you think to become the #3 team in Alabama? I was just wondering because there is alot of talent in Alabama, and didn't know if South Alabama would be able to start plucking some of the 2-3* guys since UAB has these bureaucratic hurdles to overcome.

What about fired Wyoming coach Dave Christensen?

He was 27-34 at Freakin wyoming, and he won the MWC coach of the year in 11.

If he can make Wyoming competitive during a 5 year period, he should be able to do the same or better at UAB.
