LSU target Clydrick Edwards-Helaire added a scholarship offer from Cincinnati on Sunday — his fourth thus far.
The Catholic-Baton Rouge running back, a junior this season, also received offers from Southern Miss and Nicholls State this summer after the Tigers extended his first this past spring.
Edwards-Helaire, a 5-foot-8, 196-pound speedster with a 4.36-second 40-yard dash, has played for the Bears since his freshman season....

Eh, it's always a risk this early, but it depends upon what he's looking for (e.g early playing time). He still sounds pretty enthusiastic about UC in this vid from 2 days ago:
Sounds like Gran is trying to get Merrell to come with him to UK. One of the insiders is predicting he will flip.
Quote:SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Stow (Ohio) Munroe Falls 2017 quarterback Kyle Vantrease arrived at the U.S. Army National Combine with offers from Cincinnati, Bowling Green and Toledo.
Other schools showing interest include Purdue, Michigan State, Syracuse, Northwestern and Duke.
"Besides the schools that have offered I like Syracuse because it's a staff that I know. I also like Iowa State, I have family out there, I like Coach Campbell. Obviously I like Michigan State. Purdue said they're going to come up after the dead period. I'm just letting it all happen and take it all in."
Vantrease wants to visit the Orange, Boilermakers and Spartans among others in the near future.
As a junior Vantrease threw for 2,100 yards and 15 touchdowns. He added another 12 scores on the ground.
Glad to see we are back out recruiting some young road graders. Seems like we have been relying too heavily on the JUCO ranks for linemen the past couple classes, but maybe that was more due to necessity.
