Interesting to say the least.....I think no reason our QB (Doughty) cannot finish 3rd before its all said and done...Clearly Cato and Heinke are the best, but if we see WKU's QB play from last few games last season carry over to this season he will put up big time numbers to be 3rd string QB..ALso WKU has a good track record for RB's and I would almost guarantee if Leon Allen stays healthy he will be up there post season, coaching staff said last year he had more talent that anyone on the team and that was with 5 guys going to the NFL last month..

I also hope to see more than 1 player out of 4 teams on the defensive side of the ball for WKU or we will be in big time trouble...Defense is concerning heading into this season though if you are a WKU fan...

For ODU to have only four players make the team is somewhat underwhelming, but it is also in many ways very satisfying for this Monarchs fan. Having Heinicke, Pinkard and Vaughan on second team offense is solid recognition of their past performance and the expectations for the ODU offense this year. To have even one Monarch on the defensive side of the ball is nothing short of remarkable. (Shhh, don't tell anyone Schmidt is a JUCO transfer and first year Monarch!)

Surprised to see Adarius Barnes as 3rd team. I can't speak on every CB in CUSA but I'd at least take him over Liggins who is 2nd team.

Alan Howze will be one of the best LBs in the conference this year. Other than that, I can't complain about the lack of Eagles on these teams.

Only prediction I have for our team is that TT Barber will continue to bring the pain. He definitely deserves preseason first team honors given how many heads he rattled last season.

TT will be a great leader of our defense this year as well as bring the pain.

7 of 11 Marshall O players listed on the 4 deep (4 first team)... will probably be more after the season with the addition of RB Grooms, who is likely the most talented RB in the league. And one of the TEs will be at least 3rd team, if not higher, simply because of Cato and the offense we run.

9 of 11 Marshall D players listed on the 4 deep (4 first team)... nice; former 4* and VT transfer DB Donaldven Manning could sneak onto this list as well

You are crazy. Cyril has been a starter since he was a freshman, and should be one of C-USA's better draft picks next year.

Same for Inskeep. Just an opinion

Liggins wasn't completely healthy last year, and is definitely more reliable. Barnes may have a higher ceiling, but I'd still take Liggins a bit ahead if both are 100%. That said I think we have a great pair of CB's and a 3rd that can play in Abraham!

No UTEP players on the defensive team. That isn't a surprise to any UTEP fans. It could be a long year.

Can't be any longer than last year. If it is then Kugler needs to go.

I'm in a "show me" kind of mood for our coach, staff and team. If they are the real deal, the record will improve some and we should have a couple of defensive players on the all conference teams post-season, which is more important than the pre-season lists.

Lemon is the best guard in the conference. Anthony Wallace did not even make the two deep so I am skeptical about that pick. Our CB James Jones might be more likely than Wallace to earn honors.
