It would depend on how one defines “darkened”.

It’s true, that in order to see the moon during its time in the
Umbra the Sun has to be obscured by the other side of the Earth.

The Hebrew word used for "Blood” means “that which when shed causes death”
I’m guessing this is more of an analogy, since when the sun is darkened the Moon cannot reflect light.

Actually it was a 1957 Martinique Starfire. It Had 8,500 HP through 10 Turbochargers that recycled the Exhaust heat so as not to be seen by radar of that era. It must have been rescued and refueled when the Apollo missions discovered it before the actual Moon landing.

Reading this for fun and came across this, I googled it thinking it was probably a badass car, and was right.
Funny part is that if you simply google the above, the first hit is one for sale, the second is this entire post with the 8500 HP and Turbo

Can only imagine what someone out there is thinking when they stumble on that description of this thing. haha
