I never get "pre-game" pics by those in the media. Are they sooooooo busy that its IMPOSSIBLE for them to take a quick shot at kickoff or first snap from line of scrimmage?

Not bad for a game against an FCS team...

So UCF hosts an FCS team and draws nearly 20,000 more than USF who is hosting an ACC team.
Oh boy. There's not much left of the fanbase in Tampa.

Go re-read the WSJ article from a couple weeks ago.
Here are the notes in case you missed it. Everyone exaggerates announced attendance. However, announced attendance is what everyone goes by.
UCF had 43K announced. USF had 34 or 35K announced. You had 8K more, not 20K more. You are trying to compare apples to oranges, because UCF doesn't release the actual turnstile numbers, whereas Joey Knight, USF beat writer, always gets both the announced and actual numbers (and is pretty much the only beat writer in the country that does).
Congrats on a great crowd, though. USF once had 48K for an FCS opponent, for what it's worth.

Actual attendance for @USFFootball win vs GaTech (per Tampa Sports Authority): 25,801
This is a serious question, not trying to take a dig (serious).
Has UCF's OS writers ever tried to dig up actual turnstile numbers? I noticed that UCF was one of the schools that weren't referenced in the WSJ article. USF happens to be the school that inflates announced attendance numbers the least in the AAC, outside of Navy.
Personally, I think everyone should go with turnstile, but that will never happen. Can you imagine if everyone was forced to do that, there would be some really small reported crowed. Heck, in MLB, the Rays and Marlins might have 3,000 or 4,000 fans in the stands.
BTW, good crowd last week.

Staying away from the USF stuff and strictly focusing on UCF's attendance for this game... do you feel this picture looks like the numbers are inflated? If so, by how much? Our max capacity is around 44,500...

UH doesn't have turnstiles. Only ticket scanners at the gates. But I'm 99.99% sure those scanners are not 100% accurate. When you have a couple hundred people in line waiting to get tickets scanned, and the scanners aren't picking up the bar code, at some point they say "just go ahead".

Wouldn't they be required to by open records request?
Let's see if Knight can get ALL Florida teams. I bet FSU inflates numbers big time.

Please go review the many pictures of our crowd. We announced 43,000+ and had every bit of 43,000+ plus there, including 14,000 students. The place was very close to sold out.
Joey Knight tweeted that USF had 25,000 actual butts in the stadium.
My comment stands. And regardless of what UCF did or didn't draw, getting 25,000 people to show up for GT is troubling if you're a USF fan.

Yeah, that's what I meant by turnstiles. Tickets scanned. Butts in seats. However you want to term it.

I don't know how many actual bodies you had. I do know bleacher seating is MUCH easier to make look full than chairbacks. 4 people take 4 seats in chairbacks, whereas 4 people can take 7 or 8 seats (and commonly do) in bleachers.
I have no idea if this happened during your game. Frankly, I didn't watch it. It didn't interest me enough. I have already acknowledged that you had a great crowd for the game. No dig intended. It really was.
You have had a lot of games in the past the eyeball test did not pass what was announced. Everyone has. USF included.

Same exact reason is why Memphis reported 33,000 at game 1. We will be lucky to actually have that this week. Friday night means you lose a few thousand to HS football and many will stay home after this past Sat's lackluster performance in Annapolis. It is what it is.

This has nothing to do with a rivalry. It's accurate. USF should be doing better than that.
