Don't question it. They make up their own rules to save UNC.

Blue blood schools deserve blue blood treatment.

If the NCAA doesn't have any authority over academics, then they owe Memphis an apology and the Tigers should have the 2008 season restored.

Quote:UNC commissioned at least six different investigations. The NCAA reopened its investigation after a series of stories in the Raleigh News & Observer in 2014.

On Friday, the NCAA concluded it couldn't make a finding of academic fraud due to a 2014 rules definition that allows schools to define academic fraud on their own.

These paragraphs are soul crushing to my belief in the ACC's ability to still have actual academic rigor along side athletic prowess. The timing of that (2014 on both? REALLY?) smells pretty stinky too.

I know that in the Louisville case some rules changed & the NCAA said that they could choose which set of rules to follow, the new ones or the ones in place when the infractions occurred. Guess we know which ones they decided to follow for NC.

So the NCAA has officially thrown academics on the scrap heap in favor of having more eligible athletes. I guess that means we won't see any more athletes ineligible for academic reasons.

"Soul Crushing"? GTS you are starting to sound like Dan Kane.
70.3% of all students that took the "infamous" classes were not athletes.

And this is where the Department of Education needs to step in and issue some sort of sanctions against the school.

Q: When you factor in these fake classes, would Louisville still bring up the rear of the ACC, academically, or would UNC be the new cellar dweller?
