WAC out of conference predictions
What do you think the best out of conference win will be in the WAC? I hope it is UMKC over Wichita st but my brain says it will be wins over Illinois?

Illinois looked very beatable after their scrimmage against eastern Illinois in which they lost by 13. For GCU I believe the best win would come from winning at Boise this year.

I am holding out hope for a possible Louisville win, but knowing how we play on the road, I don't have too much hope. The only thing giving me hope is the fact that Pitino is gone and they are having guys declared ineligible.

A new category where UTRGV has a chance: best OOC win on a WAC home court, UTRGV over UTA.

Seattle U takes on presumably the three worst Pac-12 schools this year in UW, WSU, and host Cal at home. Hopefully they can pull an upset from one of them

Saint Marin a D2 in out of Lacey, Wa took UW and WSU to the brink and led at time in the games too. Saint Martin is an above average GNAC school. SU might have a better chance that I thought before this last week against UW/WSU.

I think UMKC could beat South Dakota ST at home. They are a top 100 team usually

UVU leading Kentucky at the half.
You KY will be coming out harder in the second half. Hope UVU can hold on.

Kentucky was horrific the first half. They're finding their groove now.

Seattle U falls to St Louis 46-62. All four grad transfers got significant minutes, Jordan Hill surprising with 20 points and four 3-pointers. Richaud Gittens was awful though, 1/12 shooting and 0/7 from 3.
Aaron Menzies only played 19 minutes and may have gotten hurt..again...
Reigning WAC FOY Matej Kavas had 15 points and 6 rebounds, but 5 turnovers.
Seattle U hosts Puget Sound (D3) on Sunday at the 999-seat Connolly Center on campus

RE: WAC out of conference predictions
Just got home from the CSUB game. CSUB 88- Whittier 66. CSUB played quite a poor first 10 minutes but really ramped it up in that last ten of the first and the 2nd half. They lead by as much as 31 in the 2nd. The main takeaway is Jarkel Joiner. First time seeing him play in person and he is the man. 9-15, 3-6 from 3, 6 boards, 2 assists and 23 points. He is an absolute stud and can score at will. Incredibly athletic with amazing hops that will bother the WAC for 4 years. I would be shocked if he isn't the Freshman of the Year this year. It's crazy to say but he might be the best player on the team, he certainly looked it tonight. It's incredible to believe he is a true freshman. Just took over the game. Rickey Holden is very impressive as well. Super quick and a great distributor, has a lot of Basile in him. Aly was a man possesed against the undersized Whittier as expected, would up with 16 points (6-7), 6 boards and 4 blocks. Barnes did say he has been working on his offensive game in the offseason. Also Brent Wrapp stuffed the stat sheet as usual with 9 points 6 assists and 3 steals in 22 minutes, seems he is close to 100%. The defense forced 24 turnovers and only committed 8 fouls.
CSUB plays at Georgia Southern next who just upset Wake Forest. Should be a solid test.

RE: WAC out of conference predictions
So far, of the new guys added to the WAC, I am most impressed with Cal State Bakersfield's Jarkel Joiner, Utah Valley's Akolda Manyang and NMSU's Zach Lofton.
Joiner is the future of the WAC and probably WAC FOTY. Manyang will be a game changer in WAC play. He will terrorize opponents in the paint. And, Lofton is potentially a WAC POTY candidate.
