Oklahoma and Miami are the best teams
The entire season, most people have been eyeing Alabama and Clemson as the top teams, and even Georgia was #1 for awhile
But I think after this weekend, Miami and Oklahoma are the top teams. I think we're in for a really good playoff this year

Funny, how the ACC will likely have to of the top Four Teams heading into the CCG weekend and some still predict it's demise if it ever goes to the P4.

Odds really good if Alabama wins out that Oklahoma and Miami(or Clemson) will be your 2 and 3 seeds and play in the semifinals.

I wouldnt pencil in Alabama as the top seed...Miami could end up in that spot if they beat Clemson
Either way, I wouldnt want to play Oklahoma in semis

I would. Alabama would have wins over Auburn, Georgia, Miss St, and LSU(all 4 CFP top 25 teams). With 2 top 10 wins. Miami would have wins over Notre Dame and Clemson. Va Tech will be dicey.

ACC is the third best conference
If anyone is in danger of getting poached, it's the Big XII

No conference with a GOR is in danger of getting poached while it's in effect. And last time i checked, that's all of the P5, except for the SEC, and they aren't getting poached either.

No one is getting poached NOW.
Both the XII and the PAC's GOR runs out around 2024.
Unless the XII finds someone who adds value, expansion will just mean a smaller piece of pie for everyone. Same for the PAC.
If they continue to fall farther behind in the $$$ category, it could be a free-for-all come ought 24.

Holy I'll say crap. Are ACC fans that sensitive? It's a thread by an ACC Fan stating an ACC team is in the top two?
Full disclosure, I hate the ACC unless we get an invite. I will turn as quickly as the Syracuse and Pitt fans did from the Big East is gonna raid the ACC to the ACC is the best.

RE: Oklahoma and Miami are the best teams
Here's one:
Auburn beats Alabama and goes to the SEC Championship Game and beats Georgia again.
Miami loses to Clemson by one point in the ACC Championship Game after finishing undefeated in regular season play.
Oklahoma and Wisconsin win out.
Play off teams:
Wisconsin
Oklahoma
Clemson
Miami
Georgia and Auburn stay home with 2 loses and 1 loss Alabama is left out for not winning their division or their championship game. Think that will light a fire in the play off system next time around. Just leave the SEC out once and you would think a bomb has been dropped on the whole play off system.

By 2024 Texas and Oklahoma will have figured it out the best route to the play off and being #1 is through the B-12 if they haven't figured it out already. They will keep the B-12 together and expand by 2 when the next TV contract comes up. Besides Texas is not giving up their top BULLY spot for equality somewhere else.
While staying in the XII might be their best route to the CFP, it's all going to boil down to $$$. I don't see ESPN or Fox starting a XII conference network. I also don't see them getting as much money from a TV contract as the SEC or B1G.
I guess it will come down to which will bruise the ego more, being a team player in another conference making A LOT more money or being the big dog(s) in their current situation knowing schools like Vandy & Purdue are making TONS more money.
Might not be as bad for Texas who has the LHN, but I can't imagine that would sit well with Oklahoma.

It shouldn't have two in the top four. I don't care how strong your SOS is when you lose to Cuse. OU has a strong SOS as well and lost to a very good ISU team. ISU>Cuse.
My top four:
Bama
Miami
OU
Wisconsin
Clemson would be between 5th and 7th in my rankings

Wisconsin though hasn't played much. Clemson SOS in Sagarin right now is #5. Wisconsin is #63. That's just too much of a gulf there.

Oklahoma would be the big dog that would bolt first. Their ego constantly gets bruised by Texas in house and they want the money Texas is already getting with their own private network. The big obstacle both Texas and Oklahoma have though is politics. Oklahoma more that Texas. Oklahoma has the OK ST baggage they will have to take with them. If Oklahoma and Texas can both swallow their egos and pair up together they may have options at the B-10 and SEC. If state politics win out then the Texa-Homa four (sister school for each of Texas and Oklahoma) goes to the PAC-12 to get to 16. PAC-12 divisions:
Pacific: USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon ST, Washington, Washington ST.
SWC: Texas, T-Tech, Oklahoma, OK ST, Arizona, Arizona ST, Colorado, Utah.
Another scenario would have Oklahoma and OK ST going to the SEC and Texas who can shed a little sister easier and Kansas going to the B-10.
