which wont matter as far as who gets the access bowl.

Do the rules require you to be a conference champion? I thought it was just the highest ranked school.

Negatory. You have to be the highest-rated G-5 conference champ. That is why BYU is ineligible for it.

If Memphis wins by 1 on a last second Hail Mary, they will pass UCF. It's a championship game. It's for all the marbles.

If it was a 10-1 team that UCF hadn’t already played, then absolutely. I don’t expect UCF to stay in front if they lose, I’m just not sure it’s a guarantee...especially with how the committee has done their rankings so far.

I am. Imagine the myopic love fest here, without a few outsiders to point out the insanity? Hell, Pesik is on another thread, trying to convince people that Gonzaga would be better off joining the AAC. That's a special sort of AAC crazy.

Yes, Boise v Fresno is on my second TV. I have a three TV set up for game day. :-)

you realize wcc is a mid-major with byu, and the AAC is a high-major (this isnt a debate, the official ncaa list wcc as a mid-major but not the aac in basketball)....that losing byu to the aac and making a true western division (with sdsu etc.)...you have be crazy to think gonzaga would be better off in the wcc than the aac in that scenerio....

i hate when crazy people call other people crazy...i can wait to see sdsu in the MWCCG that you said was happening...remember when you said tulsa would win the west....
nothing isaid above is even sort of crazy...zaga would make 3-6 times as much money in that scenario

Considering how badly Fresno State beat BSU, the AAC champ would've gotten the access bowl regardless of what happened this weekend.

If Memphis loses in the conference champion, I'll pull for the other team to win the access bowl.

BSU and SDSU had a chance to join the Big East, and when that fell apart, the AAC. They decided to stay out west. Nothing has moved the needle enough for them to change their minds.

And the Zags, in Washington State, would lose money by playing a schedule against teams in the Central and Eastern time zone every other game. Men's basketball makes money, but nothing else on campus does. The travel costs would bankrupt them.

ps we are talking a scenerio in which we got byu to join the AAC. that if we did, could we get zaga also

the AAC could almost triple their tv earnings as is (not even what our new deal could be), our exposure/playing bigger brand team would drastically increase value of appearal deal, the difference in travel expense would be made up

also remember this is with a true western division (houston, smu, byu, sdsu, maybe boise or CSU)...theyd rarely go to the east

Won't matter. You still have to win the conference.
